Insane_killer06
I'm using it since yesterday. Absolutely in love with it. Feels so solid and compact in your hands plus that price tag
phreak
I've never used an Android phone before. Moto G, yay or nay? In terms of quality, yes. Moto G should get Kitkat in couple of days for Indian users. If you don't care about the updates, you should be able to get way better mobile in terms of specs (Gionee, XOLO and others) for the same price range.
ALPHA17
I've never used an Android phone before. Moto G, yay or nay? MOTOROLA G / Nexus4 should be your step off point. Avoid stuff from local Indian, Chinese brands. The feature set might be enticing but support and updates are severely lacking.
phreak
No point in buying nexus4 now. Current pricing on flipkart is 30k lol. I'd personally suggest to wait for new phones to come. The new rumored HTC M8 mini would be a great competitor to moto g for budget phones. (Better processor, kitkat, camera, battery backup)
AtheK
Buy the micromax turbo grand for 15.5k super VFM, and works great

I really doubt any mini phone is worth their salt, exception is the SONY Z1 Compact which packs the same hardware as the full size phone save the screen resolution. So close to Nexus5, might as well buy that. except the screen which is 720p I mentioned the same in my post, everything is same (hardware and OS) save screen resolution. I think moonstruck had a budget for a phone like Moto G. Not sure but if he prefer updates MotoG is his best bet NOW or he can also wait for M8 Mini. Z1 compact will cost ~40k+ when it comes to India. 50K on GEbay now.. or if prefer them specs anything from xolo q3000 to gionee e6 or what athek suggested turbo grand will be worth the buck. If SONY is thinking competitive it will launch the Z1 Compact for the price of a Z / ZR. No way above ~40000/-. Even at the price point of the MOTOROLA, I would stick to the that instead of going for Micromax or some such company. I never take to them and the screen size is atrocious. The feature set might be enticing but support and updates are severely lacking. I agree with Abhay on this. Bought Karbonn S5 for my brother after skipping on Grand. It looked too good, VFM and worked very well in the beginning. The after sales service is seriously a pain in teh a*s I got Moto G yesterday morning. I must say it's really impressive. 36 hours passes and still battery is at 30%. The screen is absolutely gorgeous. One of closest friend ordered a Moto G today after looking at my phone. P.S - Whats wrong with Nexus 4 pricing Edited February 9, 2014 by Insane_killer06
MoonStruckHorrors
Thanks for the suggestions. How's the service for Motorola in India, if there is any. I thought the company was dead here.

phreak
Thanks for the suggestions. How's the service for Motorola in India, if there is any. I thought the company was dead here. Company was dead in India for over 2 years. All Moto Gs bought from Flipkart as of now will be serviceable at following centers https://motorola-mobility-en-in.custhelp.com/ci/fattach/get/804282/1391631511/redirect/1/filename/Updated%20MASC%20list%20-%2004th%20Feb%2014.pdf (Might need to sign up)
AtheK
i will actually not risk buying motorola, they are first not in india officially, secondly you will have hardly any service centre and god knows the kind of service you will get. Also with lenovo taking over, who knows how things will pan out. For the records Lenovo laptop service is a disaster, took them 3 weeks to change a faulty ram. For me for now they are no better then any chinese company, the reason i have decided not to buy Moto G.
