Guys did you see Lenovo K3 phone which is being released on 8th july?? The features look really promising and the phone also seems to be really good in terms of the build..And for 10k its really good...

Should see how it pans out in long term usage though...

Cheaper Lenovo phones have a tendency to lag and heat up, I would say wait for credible review before buying it however good it looks on paper

Looked some reviews in youtube...Its really good but the thing to look for is how it turns out after a long usage say 3 months..Such review will give the clear view...

Yup, my friend had one of these cheaper Lenovo phones and he was very disappointed within a month, finally he threw it and got a zenphone 2 with 4gb ram

Oh, but the specs are really competitive for the price of 10k...

Can't go wrong much until your expectation is following...use as a phone/whatsapp/fb/browsing and occasional pics. Any other expectation like gaming and intensive app will just ruin the exp.

Yeah...Depends on the usage criteria...

In that price range the Yu Yuphoria is quite good too, plus cyanogenmod

i would rate Lenovo higher by looking at specs sheet, but we will have to see real life experience. But that said can't go wrong with a phone with full had screen, dual sim, micro sad card and lollipop with just 10k budget, awesome stuff.

Absolutely, Really good thing because other companies will also try to get into the 10k zone more with similar configs...Great for the competition market for mobiles...

  • 1 month later...

Hey guys, I am interested in picking up the NOKIA Lumia 730 (since 735) is not available in the market.

Opinions, when recommending devices, please mention about their availability too. Bird Bird Bird recommended the Lenovo K3 Note but the bloody thing is one of #jholkart's endless sale-day rigmarole sellers. I would like to pick something in the Independence day sale, as of now otherwise have to wait till Dusshera.

Major use of this device,

  • Daily driver (call, messages, WhatsApp, maybe a bit of Skype on the weekends)
  • Music phone (have a MOTO G, 1st Gen but really limited by the fixed storage)
  • Office integrated usage

Now, cons I am already aware of the platform,

  • Pathetic App Store
  • Shoddy or in certain cases almost banal applications ported with zero effort / polish
  • Microsoft
  • 720p, 4.7" screen but I can live with this since I am not too keen on the 5" devices that have been released off late

So let me know if there is something else I am passing over. Cheers!

Need suggestions for a friend's Dad who is planning to buy a new phone.

A few answers needed:

He is coming from a basic Nokia phone and wants to go for a smartphone now. Question is, Windows or Android? Which is more user-friendly for a person who has never used a smartphone ever? His budget is approximately ~INR 5,000 to 6,000. Since, he never had a smartphone, his usage is something that we wouldn't know as of now.

Any help will be appreciated.
