Does it make sense to upgrade from Oneplus 3 to Google Pixel 2? Flipkart has some great deals going on the phone. I am not even sure if that is an upgrade considering bigger bezel, smaller screen and no headphone jack.

Depends, are you no longer happy with the OnePlus 3's performance?

Also, no headphone jack is probably going to be the norm in the next two years. And I think I will have to revert to a dumb /feature phone then.

I checked out Pixel 2 XL at my nearest Croma and upon thorough side by side comparison with a S8 and 5T, I mean I used a Color Detector I made in my ELL lab in college. Freaked some people out.

I observed similar delta values in all three.Only difference was the Pixel 2 showed variation in Blue vector space while the other two showed in Red/Green vector spaces.

Maybe Pixel's issue was more pronounced in previous batches but in new one's it isn't a problem.

I inspected this on a device which they have had on showcase for 3 weeks (same IMEI) and there was no burn in as well despite being on continuosly.

I understand there might still be variation in different units but you get a 2yr warranty. So it's upto you whether you want the best phone in the market right now or you were put off with earlier issues.

Also, Croma is providing 8k off on MRP and further 8k cashback on HDFC Credit Cards.

Flipkart is giving 13k off albeit on all cards but as usual all the models went out of stock at once at 12:01 AM despite sale still going on (shady tactics).

Croma is the better deal technically.

I might buy 5T if I can get some good pics out of it otherwise Pixel it is.

i am also looking at Pixel 2 Xl as i am in need of a good phone, that has good camera.

So I am testing my sister's Pixel 2 XL before I make the purchase and I haven't faced any problems with the screen. Camera is just fantastic, period.

Just one thing, I have Airtel V-fiber 40Mbps broadband and P2 XL just doesn't register more than 20Mbps, neither does my friend's Pixel 2 on his own Airtel network.

So if anyone has a Pixel 2 or 2 XL, please do a speedtest and let me know if it works fine with your ISP. Especially if someone has Airtel V-Fiber.

Hey guys! Cousin is coming from Dubai so I've asked him to get an iPhone X for my mom.

iPhone X has international warranty right? Anything I should know/worry about?

All Apple products except for MacBook does not have International/Global Warranty.

However please confirm with others. I am sure but you might have to confirm with others

While searching I came across this:  https://9to5mac.com/2017/10/27/apple-international-warranty-iphone/

So Dubai iPhones don't have facetime :O

Yes that's true. Dubai iphone doesn't have facetime

Btw don't believe those news report. Better to confirm from Apple themselves.

You get phones with FaceTime in dubai. You have to pay a but more.
My uncle bought a facetime iPhone from dubai. He asked at an apple store in India and his warranty was applicable here.
That is not officially sold at Dubai. Those are imported from USA or other country

Does anybody know what is Samsung -Amazon Exclusive upcoming phone ?

The folks over at Sammobile think that we’re looking at a variant of the Galaxy J7 Pro, and I’m inclined to agree. While some have speculated that the mystery phone could be the Galaxy J7 Plus, Sammobile correctly points out that the J7 Pro is the only device that could plausibly fit the On-series price range that also supports Samsung Pay.

Unless Samsung adds support to refreshed Galaxy J7 Plus variant, then the J7 Pro seems to be the only viable candidate that can deliver a “new way to shop” as one teaser image promises.

As a quick refresher, the regular J7 Pro features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 13 MP camera on both the front and back, a fingerprint sensor, and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7870 chipset, backed by 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of onboard storage (expandable), and a 3,600 mAh battery.

^ Get a Mi A1 or a MOTO G5 Plus.

I have changed my mind. Buying iPhone SE for her. Is that good?

Def best in class hardware packed with flagship camera.

Only con is the small screen which becomes a disaster for quick typing ,watching video etc

I had moved from S5 to iphone se but after few months had to come back to S5 due to the screen size
