I am tired of watching this type of articles "This is only possible on PS3 that is only possible on PS3". If 360 can run GeOW it can run anything.

it will run but not at the same quality, you can't compare a first party ps3 exclusive that uses the cell and blu ray properly to anything else.

Uncharted 2 was 25gb, killzone 2 was 30gb, Mgs4 was 45gb, Gow 3 will be above 20gb as well that's one reason why its not possible or do you want to play a hack and slash on 3 discs?.

M$ needs to resolve this storage issue thingy.....and real quick :panic: they just cant have something which is "very large scale" without employing multiple discs

a little off topic.

when i played gears2 i was blown away with the graphics.............. but then last year i played uc2. the depth of each n every scene is awesome man. i think thats coz of the abundant size of the discs, the developers can pack in more with every scene.they dont have constraints of small disc size. i think thats the main diference and its that what counts when we look at the final presentation of the games. ps3 exclusives look more lively compared to xbox360 exclusives.

and thats what is gonna hapen with god of war3

the problem is on a small disk, they hav 2 repeat textures, may be make them smaller and stuff like that. on bluray they can hav big and exclusive textures for everything and still save space on that disk. thats were bluray wins i guess.

Processing power of ps3 is higher no doubt, but i dont see how mcuh ever a complex game can use all all those 8 processors. wateva the 360 has, shud b enuf 4 ne game v play this generation.

On the other hand, the gpu power of both seems similar. they both r actually a lil backward and consoles being the major hits these days, are holding back the generation's graphics overall. Dont matter much coz the games look good neway.

4 graphics, its just the bluray which makes it a WIN for ps3 imho.

Fans will finally be able to get their hands on God Of War III in a couple of months, after a long wait since its predecessor's release back in 2007. Here, Tim Ingham grills Sony's UK product manager for the game, Claire Backhouse, for more info...

What will God Of War III offer that consumers can't currently get from any other next-gen title?

God of War 3 has been developed for the PS3 utilising a new game engine built from the ground up and state-of-the-art visual technologies.

The development team behind God of War III has made huge strides in giving players the realistic feel of actually being on the battlegrounds.

With texture resolutions quadrupling since God of War II on PS2, God of War III, in its debut on PS3, will feature fluid, life-like characters, as well as dynamic lighting effects, a robust weapon system, and world-changing scenarios that will truly bring unmistakable realism to Kratos' fateful quest.

Players will have a chance to join battles on a grand scale that is four times larger than its predecessor. God of War 3 combines these new technologies with the much loved gameplay elements from the previous games - Puzzle solving, brutal combat and epic set-piece battles.

It also benefits from a deep and involving storyline, steeped in Greek Mythology. This is what makes God of War 3 unique and sets it apart from other next gen titles.

Why is God Of War so well suited to the PS3?

The developers have worked hard to use the power of the PS3 to make GOW3 look amazing and have added features that are only possible with PS3. The dynamic lighting solution employed in GOW III is only feasible through the computing power provided by the Cell SPUs.

For example, using the High Dynamic Range Lighting (HDRL) technology, the camera - when using Krato's sightline - will emulate the human retina, causing players to feel a sharp brightness when Kratos exits a dark area and enters a sunlit area, similar to how the human eye would need to adjust.

What in the game will really 'wow' fans of previous GoW games?

In addition to the battles, storyline and elements like the lighting mentioned above there are a few new special treats in store for GoW fans. One such treat is rideable creatures.

The menacing creatures of Greek mythology in God of War 3 can now be manipulated against their will, as Kratos uses them to cross chasms, inflict blind rage against enemies, reveal puzzles and secrets, and as tools of complete annihilation.

There are also new deadly weapons such as the Cestus-powerful metal gauntlets with devastating strength-and other brutal instruments of war that will allow Kratos to learn ruthless new techniques such as grappling with enemies and launching explosive wall-to-ground attacks.

Could we be talking about the biggest title of 2010?

I think if you are over 18 and want an amazing single player experience this year then God of War 3 is a must have.

Our marketing campaign will be covering off homepage takeovers, TV spots, Cinema spots, TV channel promotions, press ads and a special God of War Competition.

The marketing plus the strength and quality of the game should ensure it's a massive title for the first year of the new decade.

nice pics, the army of those female-angels against Kratos looks highly interesting!

btw guys, in the latest pulse edition, there are some exclusive clips of GOW3,... Kratos is flying high through some raptured structure, and Atlas tries to attack him, and then Kratos jumps towards his face. Or is it not exclusive and u hav seen it elsewhere?
