dante77
You may think that by doing that you're keeping expectations low. But in a way you're just setting yourself up for disappointment, because while everyone has an idea of what to expect, your mind is building castles in the sky and the game won't live up to that.peace I tried to tell him the exact same thing too but he (and some other members) already prepared their mind for disappointment. Solitaire
But there's plenty of people who avoid playing demos on IVG. I think that's a really stupid thing to do, I mean why else are demos released than to be played? I for one play the demo always cos I buy like 2-3 games in a year on the PS3 and I won't go out and buy a game purely based on reviews, so I need to play the demo to make sure I'm getting something that I'll like (especially cos I'm only allowed to get 2-3 a year). And there's absolutely no sense in not playing GOW3's demo. The whole thing is awesome and the ending is that extra bit more awesome!! It doesn't reveal much of the storyline apart from what we already know and keeps you waiting eagerly for the full game with a cliffhanger ending. Expecting nothing with expecting lot is a different thing. And no the people who don't play demo are not stupid

Solitaire
Jaane de.... philosophy jhaad raha hain. No, what I meant was his english is a bit messed up in that line. What he's implying I got. I guess what Dante is trying to say is there are people who think "I won't play the demo, so then I won't know what to expect and it'll surprise me when the full game comes out". But those people might instead be having high expectations in their minds which would anyway be shattered when the game releases. Pushy
Avoiding demos is understandable. But completely shutting yourself off from a game you're looking forward to in the hopes that you will be blown away when you play it doesn't work. Sub-consciously, you start to expect more from it that those who do follow the game closely. That happened to me with MW2, but that isn't the best example coz I know I wouldn't have liked it even if I had followed it and watched all the trailers. peace coz it's an FPS? dislike
i don't think the word "disappointing" should be used in this threadback in 2005 when i playd the first GoW,i was dead sure that a sequel to this title will be impossible there was hardly any game out there @ that time with such production values, the story, the music, the setting,f**k...the action the overall scale of the game was sooo huge that thinking about a sequel one would always feel that it simply can't be done again!!! then GoW II was announced & i simply felt like the game can never outdo the first,it may be a better game but it simply won't have the same impact as the first one did.....i was sooo f**kin wrong!!! anything!!! is possible with this game Oooh man your forgetting Chains of Olympus as well
dislike
Ngai Croal was freaking speechless when hiphopgamershow dude asked how the secret gameplay footage which they both saw together was? Ngai was like stone faced and couldnt say a word of how Epic the scale of the game going to be,then hiphopgamershow dude says that God of War3 new build containing gameplay of 4minutes had quality which could be offered only on first generation PS4 titles.
