Soon....there will be 11/10 game review scores....Believe! And yes....the demo was off the hook..... Thats Y I said a little bit disappointed bcoz the same editor/reviewer gave Uncharted 2/LBP/MGS 4 a 10. KnackChap Posted February 11, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 11, 2010 Some info from the opm review, courtesy GAF. - Some good VA's like Rip Torn, Clancy Brown and Malcolm McDowell.- Some of the Gods you'll meet are Poseidon, Hephaestus, Hercules, Hades, Zeus, Daedalus, Apollo etc. - One new minor enemy type revealed, giant scorpions (that look nasty) - The puzzles are the best yet, huge in scope and logical. - Kratos is f**king mean-spirited, and pretty much kills everything in his path. - Intro sounds amazing! - You get the Cestus from Hercules, just as I predicted a while back - The sex mini game is back again! - Major boss fight spoiler: There will be an awesome scene where Gaia strangles/crushes Poseidon ! indusporus Posted February 11, 2010 Report Share Posted February 11, 2010 more points from OPM review: Doesn't contain the BIIG spoilers...but still reveals a lot of things: 1) Zeus, Poseidon, Hermes, Helios and Hades showcased in intro sequence *camera zooming up Mt Olympus. 2) Hercules (Kratos' half-brother) marshalling enemies in intro sequence. 3) Poseidon leaps off balcony to attack Gaia. You begin on Gaia *duh* 4) 'Aphrodite sex mini-game'. Intended to be generic reference to sex or actually referring to sex with the goddess herself? 5) Image of Zeus grabbing Kratos by the face does bear a resemblance to one of Heihachi's (Tekken series) grapple moves. 6) Image of man/god with a fiery looking blade/sword in background of picture. Image is not dissimilar to the concept art image showing Kratos standing with BoO tipped faced down. Characteristics suggest Ares. 7) In small pic titled 'Bigness'. Chronos is apparently shown with Kratos. 8) Ares' body lies below a glassy floor as described in adjacent screenshot. 9) The Leviathan is fought 3 times before facing Poseidon in first battle at beginning of game. 10) Posiedon is killed in what is described as 'anti-climatic'. 11) Scorpion's confirmed as enemies with removal of its tailing considered a 'one-hit' kill which results in ejection of green orbs. 12) Kratos falls into Hades and is confronted by Athena and reveals that the key to Zeus' defeat is to extinguish the flame of Olympus. 13) Reviewer appears to emphasize the intelligence of the puzzles in GOWIII. 14) Apollo is incarcerated in the underworld. Freeing (and possibly killing) him is a puzzle in itself. The reward the 'Fire Bow'. 15) Hera's Garden = marble wall 'prison' ---> Flame of Olympus 16) Skeletons are back! Image suggests Tartarus. 17) Gaia strangles Poseidon at some point. 18) Gorgons - Kratos 'guts' them like giant eels? Alternative death style? 19) Hera's garden maze requires Kratos to activate a timed pressure switch to temporarily take the view of the garden from a statue. Magically of course. 20) Blades of Athena now Blades of Exile (Primary Weapon 1). 21) Blade of Olympus. Activated through Rage meter. Not a primary weapon. 22) First alternative primary weapon are Hades chain blades (Primary Weapon 2). Weapon can launch souls at enemies. 23) Hades boss battle will see Hades' flesh ripped off him but flesh will attempt to make its way back to Hades. **old info from early '09** 24) Daedalus the Gods' architect makes an appearance. Voiced by Malcolm McDowell. 25) Hephaestus is voiced by Rip Torn. 26) Hades is voiced by Clancy Brown. 27) Zeus has some of his armour on in the images. 28) Game's basic 'road map' is a progression from Hades to the top of Olympus. 29) Hercules is portrayed as a jilted half-brother of Kratos who feels abandoned by the gods. he feels the god have made Kratos their star. Not the Hercules we expect to recognise. The same brother alluded to in GOW perhaps? Wait and see. 30) Primary Weapon 3 are the Cestus. Compliments of Hercules. 31) Primary Weapon 4 are 'whip' blades crafted for Kratos by Hephaestus. They fizzle with green electrical power and fry enemies similar to Poseidon's Rage magic. 32) 'Club fisted Minotaours' is mentioned. Return of the Hades minotaur? ---> fishing reel QTE. 33) Mid combo weapon switching works on a cycling of weapons. Weapon selection is not possible. 34) Posiedon has crab claws (10 in fact) protruding from his head in his final form. He looks somewhat more chthonic than ethereal. 35) Hera's Cup.
