When the hype dies down and you play the game again after some time, you'll wonder what was wrong with it in the first place ! Happened with me for HL2. I was so disappointed I left the game in between, but when I got back to it after some 6-7 months, I enjoyed it thoroughly. The latest trailer was epic as usual lol and did show one of the boss battles. They should hide these things and just tease. Because the player should experience the epic things live in front of the TV and that will be amazing feeling They should not show anything now that is the main thing. Nemo Posted February 23, 2010 Report Share Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) wtf i need monies for gow 3. the expensive death edition was for that awesome doll. and i always said gow had no story (where i conflicted with aman) but is epic in other areas. Never doubted its hype. Yeah safe to say DI did not live up to what i thought it would. Funny (haha) story, i replayed gow 1 right after DI and even though all the areas were the same i played 5 years ago the ambiance was distinctly better than DI, puzzles, enemies and scale. DI is still is a nice game with some awesome set pieces of its own. But once you start comparing with GOW (any gow) it looks seriously inadequate. I have no doubt that if santa monica continues the tradition (as set by gow and gow2), Gow3 will pwn every other game. Dante's inferno does not deserve a 6, more like a mid 7's and it is no where near the first two games so 3 should be a no doubter. Yes, you win I got owned.. My only stand was for DI to be as good as GOW and while i hated when people bashed it only for the combat similarity (as did they do for darksiders) and i will do it once more when castlevania comes around unfortunately DI did not deliver to my expectations.
