The one issue that has irked me is some reviewers are listing this as an 8hr game. This is not an 8 hr game, the fastest play tester on normal mode took 12 or 13 hours during the final play through - the fastest! Impressions based on first 40 minutes 1) Combat - classic as usual. Nothing's changed and nothing should. I was playing GOW collection in the morning and the combat still holds up and controls are perfect. 2) Graphics - the first part is mindblowing. The smallest detail is crafted in the opening sequence. The lighting - of the lighting. The way the lights move from the blades and their effect on the walls - hard to describe but suffice to say best in class. I would love to describe more about the opening but can't since it will be spoilerific. 3) Music - good. Damn that devil's pot of tea though - immediately came to my mind when I heard it I love the QTEs and the button placements at the edges of the screen. I hated the gimmicky level after the beginning. Those who've played it will know Styx and anyone who's played GOW2 should be able to guess. I see the FFXIII review getting delayed... He wont be able to finish FFXIII anytime soon, even I played gow3 after I reached chapter 9, cuz it gets really tough. I think its better to finish this game first.
