God of War III

Finally managed to finish this game last weekend. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Loved all the weapons and the overall basic storyline.

I felt that the makers had a hangover effect from Obama's victory and went into overdrive regarding hope. I hope that David Jaffe gets to at least outline how he would have ended it. I don't think the current ending was what he or Cory Balrog had in mind when they were working on the second game. I recall reading somewhere that in the second game at one of the stages in the end there are 3 murals - one depicting the defeat of cronos by zeus, the second probably defeat of ares (not sure) and the third showing the 3 stars on the horizon and the magi visiting baby Jesus. I think that sounded more interesting and more conclusive - the defeat of the greek gods somehow lead into christianity.

I also found it hard to be sympathetic to Kratos at times in the game - especially when he kills Hera. Hera's character was well written. Plus unlike in 1 and 2 where you had reason to hate the gods because of what they did at the beginning, here you already are in full hate mode from the start, so it becomes hard to keep up the hate especially when fighting characters like Gaia.

Personally I like GoW 2 more. I absolutely love the horse sequence in GoW2.

He already did.

And its far better than the current sh*t in the game (which is exactly a rehash of GOW1's ending)

i totally agree, 2 is easily the best of trilogy, 3 though can't be hated too much, as you don't have much to say, and his hatred towards Hera, well its genric by that point of the game, he is just obsessed with the final motive, it had to end this way...

hey, i loved the way the trilogy ended. with kratos

realizing that hate and war only perpetuates more of the same. of course it will have its meaning if the devs take the bold step and keep kratos as dead... immortalizing him in gaming folklore.

But like most movie endings... he is not dead, there was no body... only a blood trail.

Ghost of Sparta is based on this....Not GOW 4

n We'll know abt the other pawn only after playing ghost of sparta

it's the title of the youtube video,

I meant that the existence of a game revolving around dimos was hinted through that
