We learn that the game will be in 1080p, with no loading ( the game will load during the cut-scene ) and with a perfect framerate. Even in this early version there is no framerate issue. GoW III's engine is an evolution of the GoW II's one. No sixaxis use, no co-op, no multiplayer, no Pegasus. A Divine Studio! At Sony Santa Monica, they've never seen the studio so hard at work and have discovered 3 reasons why God of War III can't be anything but a blockbuster. I. Demi-god developers The crew is not at all a new team to the project. Over 60% of the team has been present since the first God of War. They claim that although they are proud of their first two outings, they have been using them as a sort of 'beta' for what's to come Caption of pg. 58: Outside of his legendary blades, Kratos will have other weapons to inflict damage on his enemies II. SixAxis: forget motion controls. Sony Santa Monica doesn't want to force gimmicky controls on players where they can't see it working. Coop: only Kratos can be as charismatic to players as Sony wants. Therefore, Sony plans to only follow his adventure alone. Online: in response to many journalists, there is no coop, and therefore no online. However they may be something hidden yet... PS3 on Mount Olympus There's no doubting that the first two God of War games were technical marvels. Although we've only caught a glipse, and an early one at that, there's is no doubt that we can imagine what the final game will resemble... The god on stage The Ghost of Sparta is coming back stronger and brighter than ever in God of War III. The captain who revealed his temper to the gods and took one's place is looking better than ever with a spledid model that craves the screen. - Outside of his incredible physique, Kratos sports armor with light-reflecting textures that animate with perfect fluidity - To demonstrate the trials of Big K. (yes, it says this) the hero will show real-time damage effects. - With all the capabilites not available, the modellists are going to every extent to show ever scar, tattoo, and contour of Kratos' body. - Kratos' expressions are like nothing seen before. Although while in game they are not always easy to notice, the cinematics promise to take full advantage of them.
