No need to activate the ac on your ps3 before downloading the demo. It'll work just fine.

Played the demo a couple of times  impressions in a few mins.

we never activate stuff manually... it automatically activates itself on the ps3 right before download.

If it's not activating, then most probably there's no limit

Some impressions

The lighting is just godly, better than any ps3 game out there. Everything from kratos' blades to the various colored orbs cast their light on the environments dynamically. This is especially noticeable in the darker sections of the game.

Kratos's character model is incredible، excellent shader work and animations in the QTE kills. Another very nice touch is how he gets covered in blood after a gruesome kill. Only downer is that the chains tied on arms are not actual polygons but its normal mapped texture. Minor nitpicking though.

Environments modelling is good, nothing OMFGWTFBBQ stuff so far. Some of the stuff could have been better but I'm sure they'll polish it up but the time of release (this demo will be 10-11 month old build by then).

Gameplay is classic GOW. Either you love it or really really love it. Some might feel a bit underwhelmed because how similar it is to the older games and rightly so, so keep your expectations in check.

Some of the newer stuff is very good. The crowd control mechanics is a nice addition, the new QTE system works because it lets you focus more on the action than on the button prompts

both cyclops & harpy riding need some work, esp the harpy stuff.

framerate is solid, its hardly ever holds 60fps though but never falls below 30 (except maybe one section). IMO they shd just lock it at 30 and add more post processing effects. Overall No complaints here.

No screen tearing. Something all previous 3 titles suffered heavily from. Its non existing here.

Overall its a solid demo. Gives you just Enough to get excited before the march release. People who are expecting this to be the jesus of action games will most likely be disappointed. Anyone just wanting to play the next chapter of this epic series will love every moment of this demo.

Just played the demo..its awesome.. I haven't played the first 2 iterations but in this, graphics are good and everything is so pacy...The only things I feel a bit about is some camera issues (like DMC/NGS but much better than that) and frame rate drops.. I read others' opinions which say frame rate has been good, so don't know why it happened to me but in those 15-20 minutes there were atleast 5-6 times when everything just completely halted for half a second like an emergency break.. and stuttered otherwise also a bit.. I hope they fix it in the final version...

A nugget: If you wait on the main screen for a minute or so without doing anything,

you will be treated to an awesome cutscene of Kratos in action

The section at the start and some areas where nothing is going on manages to hit 60fps (or something close) move to the action parts and the framerate dips well below 60. According to my naked eye :fogug:, The only part where it fell below 30 is when u fight the chimera with the titan and helios stuff going on in the BG.

Also anyone who can't spot a difference between framerates can take this short test. Boot up MGS4, turn on the night vision and play around for a few mins. With NVG on it jumps to 60fps from the otherwise 30'ish fps. Or.............. Play infamous, in the first city, go near the sea and see how the framerate jumps to 60. you can clearly tell the difference between 30 & 60 fps.
