Some of the old issues are still present in UC4 MP:

- Black Screen after players are found and the game is about to start. Wait for 2 -3 minutes, you are kicked and see scorecard with all zeroes

- Good old matchmaking fail error.

- White disconnect plug when game starts. If you see it, you are sure going to boot out of the game

- In addition to 2 above, I couldn't party up with the same people again unless I restart the whole game again.

 

Wonder if ND is aware of it and cover it in Day 1 Patch.

 

Surprisingly i faced none of these issues..

I was ready to wait for a long time in match making like previous UC games. But not once did i face any problem..

Found players very quickly, never got kicked or dced from the game..

You got very lucky.Even extremely stable internet connections had problems with connectivity.

Betas should be alive for at least 1 week. Not everyone has necessarily off in those 3 4 days

Beta was over one week live in December .

For me it always became sluggish/slow (for lack of a better word) after around 3-4 hours of continuous play, making it unplayable after that happened. Don't know if it was a game issue or an issue with my console.

Did this use to happen with every session? If yes, it could be an overheating issue.

Either way, here's ND's response regarding this thing..

 

“I know many of you have been asking and we’ve unfortunately been silent for quite some time regarding your comments and questions about the voice acting of Harry Flynn in Uncharted 4 Multiplayer. I meant to post an update on Friday, but it’s been a hectic week with all the news and events. I don’t have great news, so I just wanted to be up front about the voice acting decision process.

Looking into it, we *did* contact the original voice actors for the characters when we were looking to cast and record voiceover for the multiplayer characters in order to have them reprise his roles – this included Harry Flynn. This was our priority and we proceeded to try to do that across the board. I can’t speak to why anyone would feel otherwise. In this case, we made the best effort to make it work, but ultimately we couldn’t strike a deal that both sides were satisfied with. Sometimes that happens in this industry, among many others.

As always, we do appreciate your feedback and efforts to put support behind things you like and want — we know all you want is our game to be the best it possibly can. We did our part to make it work and it didn’t work out when it should have – when we were casting the roles and negotiating agreements. Unfortunately, the opportunity had long passed us by, even back in December, and we won’t be re-recording any multiplayer voices.”

I think El dorado is fine. 4 -5 hits to down and it is meant to be used when you are surrounded by enemies.

 

Just don't be in the range, simple.

 

What needs to be tone down is the shotty. even from 10 feet distance, that gun does an insane damage.

2-3 eld dorado in close range and you whole team gets owned . You cant move anywhere

That's what I am afraid of. It happened in almost every other session. I have AC in the room but keep it off because the wind from the AC tends to sway the projector screen in a wavy pattern. If it's really an overheating issue, it will be worse when the game comes out in summer.

2-3 of anything will get your team owned.. 2-3 rocket launchers, 2-3 shotty equipped players, 2-3 sidekick saviours, even 2-3 grenades :P

 

I believe it depends on how effectively people use El dorado. I have not seen many players making an effective use of it. When you see a group of enemies, the first thing that you encounter is panic.

Matchmaking takes time just like every other ND game

but there is a bright side to it

Matchmaking times are much better than what they used to be in UC3 and UC2. I find lobbies instantly when I host and I noticed there is a significant improvement in finding matches when someone from India hosts it too.

 

not once have I faced problems like movement or bullet lag that is rampant in games like CoD & other P2P games

it is mostly very smooth once you are in a game similar to TLOU

+1 on this. I dont know how they pulled it off but kudos to ND. Barely faced any laggy players even when I was playing in Indian lobbies. UC3 MP suffered from laggy players blind firing and meleeing
