Enough of the talks.... In my previous post I have mentioned It will be difficult to Top Uncharted 2 and I will be surprised to see that.

Now, For those who have completed, Tell me 2 things .. Only 2 things I ask.

1. Is the shock level the same for UC4 from UC3 when we first witnessed UC2 compared to UC1 ?

2. Taking Direction/Presentation/Storytelling/Visuals & Sound, Has Uncharted 4 beaten Uncharted 2 ?

1. No. It's impossible to recreate same magic again..4th game in series can't recreate magic of 2nd game again. For me it's a HQ AAA game but there's nothing mind blowing about it.

2. Yes. Story and visuals both are good and better than UC2 and 3. Though pacing was better in UC2 imo.

What? The chemistry between Nathan and Drake is excellent.

You mean Nathan and Late Francis Drake?:P

For those who completed the game already.

How many collectibles were you able to collect in your first run

Not many...Levels are so big wide open that you can't find all without guide.

I have not completed it but Iam almost at the end.

Damn Libertalia and New Devon levels look incredible visually. Lighting and foliage is really impressive.

Gonna take few pics here..Visuals are really nice here plus Elena just joined the party ..Now pics will look even better :P

Had to reduce difficulty to hard from Crushing...That PSX demo level is super hard and also bit frustrating on Crushing..Stealth is not effective on Crushing as there are no distraction mechanics and marking is also locked.

So now I will complete it on hard then try that level again on Crushing later with bunch of modifiers active :P

Finish game on easy

Unlock modifiers

Bullet Speed+Inf ammo + Barok magnum

Go rambo on crushing

Trophies will unlock unlike previous games

Any tips for speed run trophy?

1.Yeah skip all combats run like hell

2.Infinite ammo modifier plus auto aim and explorer diff is a must.

3.Pausing game will pause time. There are mostly 3-4 puzzle I dont remember exactly.Solving them can take a significant chunk out of your time so be quick

4.Cutscenes which cannot be skipped counts in your in game timer

Are you sure that it works? Have you checked it yourself?

Depends what your definition of character development is. Because there barely is any.

Well according to me, the character development was good. It got me invested into the characters, especially for Sam and Nathan's relationship. Rafe is one of the best UC villains. Of course, Nadine was indeed used as a plot device but in a good way. She was used to portray Rafe's pysho side. She was a superficial presentation of Rafe's and perhaps Sam's greed for fame/treasure.

Anyway, this is a very subjective thing so no one can influence your opinion if you really didn't like it.

 Explained at length in the spoiler thread.

I have already read your post in the spoiler thread, and I have not much to say. I really loved the ending as a fan of the series. It was a conclusion to Nate's story. I liked the final boss fight as it was very intense and also showed Rafe's totally psychotic side . About the characters. every one of them had their intention. Of course a writer uses some characters as tools to portray an idea. I don't consider that as a negative.

And indeed all of this is very subjective. If you didn't like it, and feel that the characters came out hollow, then there not much to talk here. Maybe i'm a bit biased because I'm a fan. I played and loved it. I respect your opinions. Some people may agree with you, others may don't. Cheers.

1. Its not as simple as a yes or no. Uncharted 2 was a tectonic shift for the industry, a landmark game that cemented itself forever. As i have said this before in the history of cinematic action games, there were 3 big moments that changed the industry forever. First was when metal gear solid released for the psx, then came shenmue and right now we're in the post uncharted era waiting for the next big leap. If your question is will the game wow you with its scenarios then yes, it def will. Some sequences will make your jaw hit the floor and not necessarily setpieces but even general stuff. but if you're expecting a gamechanging experience all over again then you may be disappointed.

2. Oh yes, easily. Its a no contest tbh. Uncharted 4 is the most lavish production you'll see right now, sony and nd have spared no expense in making it. Right from the opening scene to even the smallest detail in the game world, its polished beyond belief. The game has grown up and tells its story a lot more maturely than the campy tone of the older games ( its still hilarious and unlike TLOU).

Visually, it's.......... to put it in simple terms a 15 hour tech demo. Both technically and artistically naughty dog and their engine shows its full range and what they can do. The environments, my god, some of the stuff has to be seen to be believed. they've also thrown everything they possibly can. You name it, you get it, snow, water, beaches, wind, rain, fog, jungles, cities, catacombs, savannahs, islands, underwater stuff, intricately designed interiors and lots more and top that off the best animations in the industry (both mo cap and in game stuff). I can say this with confidence that except for maybe rockstar north, no one in the industry can even come close to touching it. A new bar has been set. As a great man once said " thats a small step for naughty dog but one giant leap for the games industry."

You can skip cutscenes by pressing pause button. There's a option in pause menu.

New bar in mo-cap animation? I don't think so. I have seen fantastic mocap and facial animation in few other games as well..

Played thru the first 6 chapters last night.

So far if I had to describe it in one word, "beautiful" is that word, and I don't mean just graphics. Everything is top notch.

Loved chapter 1 and chapter 4. Chapter 4 genuinely made me choke up with nostalgia. There's still a long way to go, but I'm already wishing it never ends. There are many storytellers but none quite tell it like ND.
