Because all Xbox exclusive games run on dedicated servers. In fact if angry birds was an Xbox exclusive it would have dedicated server as well.

why is there a need for dedicated servers at all for games small scale mp games. as long as p2p hosting works properly its all good. even ps vita games multiplayer never fail let alone uncharted.

 

If there is a need for servers they wont cut short on a first party game with most hype on their console. These people who write bait articles and shills who take that bait and go bonkers should take some common sense pills.

Micro transactions are mostly cosmetic & taunt items in ND games

 

But yes maps & guns are released as DLC expansions

SP doesn't need to be 60fps

Presentation & graphics are an integral part

 

Halo 5 graphics are sad

Just wait & even Coalition Studios will announce a 30 to 60fps disparity for Gears 4

That's the best for consoles

Gears 4 will be 30fps that for sure, one major reason for that is splitscreen coop which is more important to the franchise.

I played Titanfall on the so-called dedicated servers

It wasn't revolutionary or a difference maker (got 100-150ms)

 

BattleField has always been on dedicated servers

It has given ppl nightmares

 

Halo MCC was on these dedicated servers.....it will go down as the most failed launch in history of mp gaming

 

Ppl have told me that they are getting 100ms pings in Gears of War UE(haven't seen with my own eyes so can't varify or judge)

 

 

Obviously dedicated servers are better than p2p on paper....but practically I seriously can't make out what to believe

Gears of war even with that 100 ms or so ping is way better than what we were used back on the 360.

Its the same with halo ,its the best halo i have played as far as connection and lag issues are concerned.

 

All sites are praising the dedicated servees because they really make a difference and i doubt ms even has an azure setup in india still its so good.

 

Titanfall lag also was way better than any online shooter this gen also.

 

Mcc didint have dedicated servers atleast for us indians.

 

I think we can expect the same for all Ms exclusives and for a MP fan thats makes me more than happy coz they have some good mp games. Also No whining now over lag and host advantage.

I always get some amount of lag in p2p only games. Games like TF works great on my connection with zero lag.I bought TF after trying beta coz game worked great without any issues thanks to dedicated servers..I get around 125-130 ms ping when I choose SEAsian servers.I played TF on Pc through Origin not X1

 

Dedicated servers are essential for games like Gears where Host advantage is a serious problem. I can't go back to old Gears multiplayer after playing Gears on Dedicated servers.Difference is night and day for me.

 

I get around 125 ping in Gears on X1 with my new router and after changing NAT settings to open

I remember reading somewhere that UC collection owners get the beta a week early than rest of the crowd. Dont think the beta is exclusive to UC collection owners. Anyway, I'll pickup the collection sometime this week for the beta. Its not like the three games that come with the collection are mediocre ones
