Booted PS4 and made a new PSN account with 14-day trial of PS+. Downloading the Beta now, should be done in half an hour. Add my PSN id "Almost_Random_" to play with me.

Do I need to have a save file even for digital version? I paused the UC Collection download to download the beta faster. otherwise won't be able to play tonight.

You need to dload the collection enough till it becomes a playable application

Once done (around 6gb) you can start the campaign & make a save)

 

After that beta will be accessible

This sh*t is dumb. Don't they already know I have the collection because it's bought/redeemed from the same PSN account I'm on? Anyway finished downloading beta and tried my luck in trying to access it. It does require a save file. Back to downloading UC Collection. Sony, y u so dumb?

A really cheap shot by Sony. Never expected this. They are basically forcing people to buy a remaster when beta should have been open or atleast they could have added it as a pre order bonus for any of the first party exclusives :|

Not just that, but it also requires PS+. Imagine someone not interested in any current PS4 MP games going to the lengths of buying a remaster he has played a lot last gen just to get into the beta, but bam you need to pay more to get a month of Plus to access that beta on top of buying that remaster. Dick move by Sony.

Patch details for the beta:

 

Hello Beta Participants,

 

Weve pushed a patch live. Look for the 1.03 patch by closing the application and restarting it. You should be prompted to download the patch. All regions should be seeing this patch within the next 10-15 minutes (some regions are live now!)

 

Patch 1.03 includes the following fixes:

 

 

Stability fixes

To prevent a crash in the Customization menu

To prevent a crash at the end of games when going back into the lobby

To prevent a crash when leaving matchmaking

Matchmaking improvements

Increase the number of chances people have to host, creating more rooms to find

Should decrease the number of people who are unable to find games

Were still working to fix the party splitting issues, but until then we have fixed party members having the wrong color nametags when on the enemy team

 

The .008 live update includes adjustments to aiming regarding a "dead-zone" issue that has been reported

 

 

Were keeping a close eye on the forums and are out in the wild ourselves to continue tracking down issues that are negatively impacting the experience. So please report any issues you find and well look into them ASAP

I could have lived with ps plus requirement(14 day free trial or max buy a month. You get free games so it comes off decent).

But actually forcing people to buy a remaster

Ans its not like they are doing gamers a favour as such. They do expect us to pay for the full game yet they even want us to pay for the beta of that game

14-day trial requires credit card information and is one-time use only. Not for people who had plus earlier.

Matchmaking is sh*t. Found 5 players after more than 10 minutes, and eventually lost them all over a period of 5 minutes while I waited for the match to begin. Now again searching for players. Don't think I'll get a match at all tonight.

Found one game. Removed in game after about 5 minutes or so due to network connectivity issues. Game needs some getting used to for me. Don't know how to use the magic and all the other new things properly.

But since he already had it dloaded in his system he cloudnt again

& he uploaded a save file but my system refused to read that file saying you do not have the application required to use this save

Not true.

 

To add the game to your library, yash(yashmalhotra?) should delete the beta from PS4 before triggering the download after signing into your account so that the download starts on his PS4(again) and game gets added to your account's library. If the game/beta is already downloaded in his system, click on beta from your account just starts the already downloaded beta as it is already installed.

 

Its just a hurdle put in place by ND to drive UCC sales I believe. You can easily bypass it.

 

Also people acting as if ND started this process of locking beta's have no clue of how betas were working since last 5-6 years.

I spent ~5 hours in the game and the usual ND matchmaking fails exist(read: party splits, failing to find players if a party split occurs). But finding players has not been a problem at all for me. I have been consistently finding players within 15-20 seconds even when I was in matchmaking with a part of 5(Me, Taz, Alpacino and few other IVG UC regulars)
