Completed the Palace of Lust( and associated irl change of heart ).

Took me around 5-6 hours. whew.

Also did the "celebrations".

This game will take a loong time to complete.

Able to enjoy the turn based combat? Also, yup the game is very long. You're looking at 100+ hours to 120+ hours easily depending upon your play-style and what you do.

Oh and please, if you purchased on Indian PSN - Play on Indian PSN and not on US/UK/HK/SG or any other account. Too many people sad about not receiving free themes after playing on another account. You will get 1 set of themes (Includes 3 themes and avatars) each after you complete 1st Palace (Palace of Lust), 4th Palace, final palace and platinuming the game (after syncing the trophies ofc). Since you've already beaten the 1st palace, if you've synced the trophies, you should have already received the 1st set of themes on the "Promotions" Tab or "Spam" Tab of the email which ws used to purchase the game. Or if you've not received it - you'll get it by tomorrow most probably I think. They don't take long at all.

Yes, combat is very fun, only tedious aspects are first 5-6 hours, which are mostly talking and dialogue and all.

I guess this is the only turn based game I like apart from pokemon, everything else like Civ seems too slow, and stuff like TW turn based part and XCOM 2 the AI seems to slaughter you mostly.

Here it is all comfy with 4 people in party, baton pass, one more, team mate AI also very good, like Morgana set on "act freely" by default, and he does all the useful things by himself, like he will prioritize low hp enemies/ enemies weak to his attack element, or heal party members or himself if he's low HP.

I also like the ambush mechanic, feels very good to get the first turn so easily.

btw where to buy SP restoring items? I have obtained the SP restoring coffee from LeBlanc brewing + some items I ordered through TV, aside from these SP restoring items seem rare to get from merchants.

I was doing palace of lust but mid way had to chicken out through safe room because team ran out of SP.

I would suggest you set all allies to Direct Command. You will need to strategize, use moves and act according to situation. For example, setting up Baton Pass Chains by continuously exploiting weaknesses, save SP when in need etc. It makes life far more simple if you manage everyone and not rely on AI Luck, even with custom settings.

For easy SP Items, you will need to do confidants, i.e Socialize with people. Confidants give tons of in-game benefits, in addition to telling their story and characterizing them well. For SP get the Death Confidant (Doctor) to Rank 7 ASAP and buy SP Adhesive 3 Accessory. It might be expensive, but it's well worth it. It will restore around 7 SP per turn. So if you equip it on Joker for example, each time his turn comes up - he will get 7 SP. If you equip it in your entire party - everyone will get 7 SP each time their turn comes up.

You can also link up the Heirophant Confidant which will sllow you to kake coffees, which are SP restoring items (You can only level up Heirophant to Rank 4 till 4th Palace). You can buy SP Restoring items from the vending machines throughout the city. You can also get them as drops from shadows in palaces or if you shake them down for items.

Try to complete Palaces in 1 visit. You will need the extra time for all the other stuff like Confidants, Raising your status (Knowledge, Charm etc), side activities etc. These are absolutely necessary and will also make the rest of the game, including palaces easier and more fun.

Ob and when you're talking to someone to increase confidant level, have a matching Persona in Joker's arsenal. For example, if talking to Ryuji, be sure Joker has a Chariot Persona in his load-out.

A tip: try to get the Party members, Sun, Fortune, Death, Temperance, Star and Councillor Confidants as soon as possible. You might not understand this now, since you just started, but you'll thank me later when you get to that part.

There's too much stuff to do and explain, so some tip links:

Thanks for the post.

Anyway are there any activities that i can grind to boost social stats? like brewing coffee increases proficiency, i'm specifically looking to increase kindness stat to simp to Ann-dono, which needs a level 2 in Kindness.

As of now i've only found some books to increase kindness.

Knowledge stat hasn't ranked up, and i'm sure I have 10 points in it

For boosting kindness you can work part time (day time) at the flower shop in underground mall...you can find that job opening in underground walkway section....there'll be a part time job pamphlet stand

Don't be a lay-about and clean the toilets which is everyone's dream career. Buy plant nutrients and use them on the plant in your room regularly. Later on, buy a console and play video games or buy a DVD and watch a movie that increases Kindness (among other stuff), go to theater and watch a movie that might increase kindness (or other stat depending on what's playing),  do Sojiro's (Heirophant) Confidant.

For more details on activities that will allow you to raise stats, see link -

https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/persona-5-royal-social-stats-guide-how-to-increase-guts-charm-knowledge-proficiency-and-kindness/

@adity Sun Confidant raises Charm, not kindness. A Politician teaches you how to rile up people, shake them up for more things, brainwash them to join your side, be Charming to get what you want etc. The very last thing you learn from a Politician is "Kindness" lol.

That said, @PhantomShade Sun is one of the confidants that's necessary to do if you want to make your life easier. Highly recommended. Work in the Beef Bowl Shop 2 times at night if you want to start his confidant. Be warned: The deadline to finish his confidant is the earliest so it's best to do it as and when it becomes available.

That Ann "Nude Painting" mission 10/10

Also what is the deal with the THATS THE BEST PART teacher? why does she work as a "maid" ?

This Pritam/Anu Malik/Bappi Lahiri painter boss fight was so tedious.

Good I have some decent persona's with multiple target attacks now.

You have to do the confidants. Everyone has a reason as to why they are doing things. Everyone has their own story to tell. Including non-party members. You'll find out in due time if you do confidants. Their stories are actually great. There's a reason Confidants are such a hit in Persona 5 - even without Gameplay bonus

@kold_war @GameAnalyzer @adity @CarbonCore and others who completed the game (Only see if you've actually completed the game)

Spoiler

This talk of Confidants just suddenly dot me thinking, even without his powers, Joker might be the most dangerous person by the end of the game.

By the end of the Game, at the ripe old age of 17, he's got support from (To the point of them swearing Blood Oaths), the following classes:

1) A Politician whose fortunes are increasing to the point of going national (Yoshida)

2) A Model (Ann)

3) An Athlete (Ryuji)

4) A Sports Star (Shogi - Hifumi Togo)

5) An E-Sports Star (Shinya)

7) A Highly Successful Defence Lawyer (Sae)

8) A Future Police Comissioner (Makoto)

9) A Future Industrial Magnate (Haru)

10) A Genius Hacker who can get whatever she wants (Futaba)

11) A Genius Artist (Yusuke)

12) An In with the Yakuza/Mafia (Iwai)

13) An eerily accurate Fortune Teller (Chihaya)

14) An in with media to maintain Reputation and find info needed (Ohya)

15) A Non-Descreipt Cafe with a genius owner (Sojiro)

16) An In with kids and the Education System (Kawakami)

17) A Highly Successful Doctor who can invent new medicines for difficult to cure diseases (Tae Takemi)

Seriously, Joker will legit be the most dangerous guy by the time he grows up. He's got more contacts than Vito Corleone - and all of whom are at the level of Blood Oaths, i.e. they are so loyal they will die for him. If he exists, he can easily be a guy who runs society from the shadows lol.

@quixote_1989 Play it. This game is considered one of the best of this generation for a reason. It's well worth it.

when u get to see it first time you'll be like can't wait to beat it's boss ....such an interesting music and palace

But bc after getting to know the story of the boss it was so depressing to fight the final battle.......I was like "what's the point of even defeating him/her.....Nobody's the real winner here" :(

I am on the part after 2nd palace where Makoto sends you after Mafia boss.

I have completed Mementos till the impassable door and am level 22.

Can i keep grinding this level of Mementos to reach level 25?

Dunno which Persona to guillotine fuse also, there are certain shitty ones that seem to have a lot of physical attacks only.
