Ned. Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 Hello, This topic serves as my disappointment regarding Call of Duty: Ghosts. To start with, let me tell you, I've been a avid fan of COD series for the Campaign and fun Multiplayer. I've been buying COD for its Multiplayer only. So after having fun with Black Ops 2 for quite a while and earning some Prestige, I decided to preorder Ghosts for PC. I was really excited after looking at trailers, gameplay and what not. No sense of regret at that time. After waiting for almost 2-3 months, finally Ghosts was released. I had preordered it from Game4U and was pretty optimistic about receiving the game on time. But no. I received the game after a week of release and missed the Double-XP launch weekend. Annoyed I was. Not to forget, I've been ordering games from Game4U since I started buying games. After finally making a lot of calls to Game4U and BlueDart, I received the game. Oh boy, that feel! The happy part ends now. I was really excited to finish the Campaign and start playing the Multiplayer. After starting the Multiplayer for the first time, all my excitement vanished in thin air. What was this? The menu was lagging so much, it took me 5 minutes for me to access the options. I'm not kidding. After somehow accessing the menu, I tried to find a game, which took me 5 minutes too due to the menu lag. I was so annoyed and frustrated. The lag made it impossible to even start the game. At last after few hundred tries, I entered a lobby. And the lag followed. Even at around 150 ping, the game was continuously stuttering. FPS drops and what not. I have a 100Mbps lease line at my college, so internet is not the issue. And I have a Asus G75VW, so my system is not a shitty system. Finally after all these frustrations and lag, I decided to take this issue to the Activision forums. And to my surprise, they don't care about the issue at all. There were numerous threads about the same issue. I didn't know whether to be happy or sad. Then, I decided to target the Twitter. After few tweets and attracting the Activision Twitter account, the representative told me they are working on the issues and I should expect a patch anytime soon. Since then, there have been 2 patches for the game, and none of them has fixed the issue; which makes it impossible for me to play the game I loved the most. Much bigger Indian community (PlayStation). Any lobby in less than a min. I really enjoyed playing Black Ops 2 league play (competitive) Almost played regularly since it released. None of us in the college can play any game online because the internet has been horrible for the past 2 months. Elessar Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 Yeah Ghosts was a disappointment after Black Ops 2 MP. But on the console at least (PS3) I didn't face any technical issues. A happy cat Posted December 11, 2013 Report Share Posted December 11, 2013 I had my doubts about COD, I loved cod 4, the latter wasn't that good in fact after MW2 I wasn't expect anything good. But I found Black ops 2 not that bad except for the no footstep part Ghost was made with skeleton of infinity ward, so I safely avoided that, and don't blame the developers you encouraged them by pre ordering and if you didn't pre order I don't know why you were in a hurry to buy especially when pre ordered edition stock still remains in retail stores. if your looking for some cod like fun, I (in my opinion) feel that battlefield 4 has been trying to get people from the cod franchise over to them and they are doing it well, playing TM,domination as well as defuse aka search and destroy can bring back a lot of them cod moments except for kill streaks, but to make that up they have a ton of stuff and A DAM FOV OPTION cod ghost could not provide (crashes included at least they fix it), it also looks wwaaayy better But nothing beats cod4 crossfire map that sh*t was just choastic my two cents take or leave it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
