WhiteWolf Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 If these sources are correct, we may be seeing a new Game of Thrones video game from Telltale Games, the developers of critically acclaimed titles like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. The news comes IGN, who have learned of the game through multiple sources. It's unclear whether the unannounced title will be based on the HBO series Game of Thrones or George R.R. Martin's first novel from A Song of Ice and Fire, also titled Game of Thrones. IGN has reached out to Telltale and has responded: “We get these sorts of rumors about what we could be working on next cropping up all the time. Officially we have no comment.” Recently, Telltale co-founder Dan Connors said in a Reddit AMA that the developer is working on a "few licenses that definitely fall into our dream IP scenario" and that they couldn't "wait to announce those." This will definitely be a leg-up from the other crappy one that was released, hopefully it will span all or most of the books. Maybe around Robert's rebellion or even before that. Actually this reminds me, need to get that GoT mod for Crusader Kings 2. Have heard great things about it. "I'm a giant James Bond fan and I'm always frustrated by games that make him a mass murderer," Bruner told OXM when asked which license he'd adapt if money and licensing hurdles were not a factor. "He's a super-spy, and that's a different skillset," he explained. "The films make him less of a mass murderer, and there's not much killing in the books – more spying and intrigue."
