Horrible graphics, decent quick-time events, A new perspective at Westeros, good ending.

6.5/10

With just 5$ you cant go wrong for 2 hours of an interesting new story about a house that you may have never heard in the tv series.

Recommended for GOT fans.

Horrible graphics

On the other hand, does graphics even matter for Tell Tale's games ?

Where did you get it for $5? Is it for one episode or entire season?

Yeah Joe, just for Episode 1.

You spotted on that point of mine :bandit: . I should have mentioned my expectation that it would at least be at the levels of The Wolf Among Us.

Completed Game of Thrones - Episode 5. Easily my favorite and most memorable episode in the series.. Ending was great :good:

Can't wait for final episode :D

You have to choose who lives - Asher or Rodrik...Damn this decision was so damn tough :(

Episode 6 was super disappointing :( ..Teltale left so many things untouched and unanswered for season 2 :( I was hoping somethings will get resolved but everything goes downhill and left for season 2 :|

Also episode was super short compared to past episodes.

Worst telltale finale ever. Will only buy season 2 once it's on disc now. So much time invested in season 1. Waited 4months for the finale.

Was expecting this to be best telltale series and bordlernads one to suck. Completely opposite ho gaya

Finished the game today and enjoyed it. Managed to slaughter almost everyone from the Forrester family, which I believe is now a Game of Thrones tradition. It never tends to deliver a satisfying ending, EVER!

I'm really starting to get annoyed with 2 aspects of Telltale's games now i.e. Choices and Visuals.

For this game, specifically, Telltale had a great opportunity to explore a variety of clever decisions making results. But they really botched it up. For instance:

In the very first episode, they should have provided players the option to go through some tough choices to save Ethan. Instead, no matter what option/path you took, he would always end up dead. So why even bother with all the build up?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not criticizing it entirely as I did re-think a lot of my choices and reloaded quite a few time, thinking it could yield a positive result. However, more often than not, it felt like some things were just fixed in nature and could not be averted. They should really create an alternate path, which would have a massive impact due to your actions. Else, what's the point of adding those 'Sera won't forget this', 'Cersei will remember this' lines which never mean shite to anyone and virtually have no effect. Telltale seriously need to work a bit more towards diversifying this part.

Now for the Visuals, I'm with Zodak on this one. They really need to make a shift in their game engine, pronto! It was fine when their initial success was based upon simplistic model, but after playing Until Dawn recently, I realized how EPIC these Telltale games would have been, if they were rendered properly. I understand that it's the art style that they focus on and also mass PC audience with basic configuration can run it, but it will get old at one point and they need to make that shift. I'm not certain how big this company is now, but this phase won't last forever. I can literally see them recycling the same character reaction animations in all their games.

That said, the game did a great job in the voice acting department. This is something Telltale has always seemed to get right in every single title. It was really nice to see the TV star cast lending their voices and also new additions who were amazing. Ludd Whitehill's was brilliant, as was Ramsay Snow. Surprisingly, Tyrion was mediocre out here. It could be that his character's cunning nature didn't really translate well from the animation, but it wasn't anywhere near the show.

Let's hope the next season at least has some justice being delivered with the amount of clusterf*ck that was created in this season's ending. :P
