Aftrunner
They should get a good shooter studio to make this instead of CA. I think someone like Gearbox would be a good fit.
ALPHA17
Why is CREATIVE ASSEMBLY even doing this?

You from the 2008 thread I thought this was canned. You know nuked from the orbit. Cause it was the only way to be sure.
spindoctor
Let's pick a developer who has a track record of releasing utterly broken games to make the next installment of a franchise that has been dragged through a mountain of sh*t by the likes of Gearbox and Rebellion. What could possibly go wrong?
dante77
Another alient shooter? Didn't last game bombed? Sadly, alient fps games were not good at all. I think Sega should invest on something else.

Heaven Angel
Confirmed. Coming late 2014 on PC and consoles. It's Amnesia in space, essentially, with Ripley stalked by a lone Xenomorph aboard the station."The original film: everyone loves it, we all loved it, we were all really big fans," McKellan said. "It is a survival horror film, that's what's it is. It's just crying out to be a survival horror game, and we couldn't really understand why no-one had done it, [so] we took it with both hands.""We were all scared," McKellan said of pitching to Fox. "We thought, 'No way, they're not going to let us do this, this will be too precious.' Then they came back and said, 'Yeah, that sounds like a great idea, go for it.' We were like, 'Ooh!" "I think a lot of the reason they said yes and were so supportive of it," added Lead Game Designer Gary Napper, "is because we're putting the character in a very similar situation to the first film. It's very, very true to the 1979 film." http://www.videogamer.com/xboxone/alien_isolation/news/alien_isolation_confirmed_for_late_2014_release_on_ps4_xb1_and_more.html

kemosabe
I think this will be the first proper Alien game, specially for them who love the first Alien movie.. go through the PC Gamer hands on - http://www.pcgamer.com/previews/alien-isolation-preview-hands-on-with-creative-assemblys-ambitious-sci-fi-horror/ Story :sequel to the original Alien movie Gameplay: First Person Survival Horror, no weapon, crafting system for setting up traps to slow down the alien. The whole game is against one alien and the alien will learn the player behavior to outsmart her in every move.. Looks very interesting so far, hope Creative Assembly will able to deliver it. Shadoken
This is going to be a horror game too? This ,Evil Within and weren't Amnesia devs teasing another Horror game in Space... So many horror games ...Whats going on , this is all dream Can a highly esteemed developer like Creative Assembly match up last years critically acclaimed masterpiece, Alien: Colonial Marines? We'll have to wait and see! The sad thing is even if this game ends up good , it might not top Colonial Marines sales. Then Sega goes "ah well back to our old buddies at Gearbox" Good thing this is being Developed by an In-house Sega team , wasn't there a huge scam about what Gearbox did with the money and sh*t?
