Divinity: Original Sin Larian Studios' fastest-selling game ever

Well deserved. The game is really good.

I tried to steal a tomato in the first town. Every guard and citizen became hostile and tried to attack me. Even the cows in the town tried to attack me . Me and Tyler were playing online co-op and we couldn't stop laughing.

Nice, well deserved indeed. :D

~40 hours in already and didn't finish Cyseal. The game has so much content to explore.

Haven't played the game enough to know if respecs are in or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. This is an oldschool game with no handholding. Quest givers don't have question marks over their heads. You don't get shitty Fable pointers telling you where to go to complete any quest you do manage to pick up. You make decisions which are final and irreversible in the game. Miss an event or a quest and it's gone. You almost certainly won't find everything there is to do on a single playthrough. Your character is not a jack of all trades so you have to be careful how you level them up.

What is respecs?

Re-distribute experience points to change your build. I like doing it because I can never tell what I'll enjoy - sometimes using magic is more fun, sometimes melee combat is more fun, sometimes ranged combat. Sometimes it's difficult to tell just by reading or watching videos what is the best for me and I might go down a wrong path and ruin the game for myself.

In theory I don't mind having the game 'not hold your hand' with regard to this, but games are never perfect and, almost always, one component is more fun than another.

Really no need for re-spec option at all. You have 2 characters + 2 henchman/companions. You control all 4. So you can easily distribute points for specific character.

I'm using Fire Mage ranger, Cleric with little spell casting (you don't need skill point for casting spells using scrolls), 2 companions - full warrior and air/water Mage. This way I don't have to worry about missing any ability.

Dylan, I found the re-spec option. You can do it later in game (like after ~40-50% of the game). It costs 1000g to re-spec everything.

Reviews:

Gameinformer - 9/10 - A Truly Divine RPG

Embrace the lack of handholding and complete freedom, and you have an incredible title that provides many hours of entertainment.

Concept: Travel through an open world on a grand quest featuring turn-based combat
Graphics: One of the best-looking games featuring the isometric old-school style
Sound: An excellent soundtrack keeps things heated in combat and serene when appropriate. Plenty of spoken dialogue and sizzling fireballs are on point
Playability: The action point system is straightforward and deep. With little direction offered, players need to do a lot of their own research, testing, and exploration
Entertainment: Plan to lose hours of your life thanks to great character customization, stellar combat, random loot, puzzles, bosses, and mysteries.
Replay: High

Multiplayer - 9/10

Divinity: Original Sin is a mix of RPG, a modern interpretation of the classic, a title which, although not without limits compensates with a touch of class, mechanical finish, plenty of content and a technical sector delicious.

3DJuegos - 9/10 - Divinity: Original Sin is among the best RPG adventures in years

Divinity: Original Sin is clearly one of the best RPG adventures of recent years. A game of great quality that stands the enormous freedom of action that provides the time to explore the world of Rivellon, but also deep and spectacular combat system, great customization options of our adventurers, its cooperative multiplayer and of course, your content editor. You are missing the translation into Castilian, but knowing that there is already a group of fans working on it, this is a problem that will be remedied in a matter of months.
Divinity: Original Sin is all about the experience of the game. That experience can be done alone where you craft and shape each of the Source Hunters into the kind of people you feel they should be while at the same time devising your own strategies for how to overcome the myriad of foes that await you. Or, that experience can be cooperative, with each player expressing their own thoughts and feelings onto the Source Hunters. That cooperative aspect is what’s helped to make Dungeons & Dragons such a popular game over the years. What better way to tackle incredible enemies than with a friend?
