killroy
Soldier is booooooring.... Vanguard is the easiest way to go...but if you are one crazy-a*s ruthless son-of-a-bitch....i suggest you go with engineer. Engineer is just plain evil. I never really cared about tech powers in mass effect 1 but the new sh*t they have got in me2 is amazing. Send in a turret to harass an enemy, cryo freeze or incinerate mass groups of enemies, hack huge mechs for your own good...its a lot more strategic and very satisfying. Tyler
The party AI has also been greatly improved. They rarely go down and are able to engage and take out enemies on their own. It also helps that the new characters are a lot of fun. It's actually difficult to choose between them while going on a mission.

Tyler
The Video Game Salesman at the Citadel Market is hilarious! "Today's games are all about Visceral Action and Big Choices. I miss old games where you had to remember to drink water or flying from one place to another took six hours in real time." "Those Asari/Hanar porn games they sell in Shin-Akiba are nasty." Tyler
btw conversations with helmet sucks (dlcs),can normal one be upgraded? That's why I never use helmets or the DLC armors. I can live with not being able to get a few bonuses.
Dark_Knight
All the DLCs are working for me... Thanks once again to Snake Just started playing this and needless to say this game is awesome... The cover mechanics are super and the graphics are the best that I have seen on the 360. Will it have a major impact on the game and decision making? It's not as bad as you'd expect. I'm playing with a new character on the PC as well. There are a couple of decisions which the game makes for you. For example it assumes that you sacrificed the Council and let Wrex die and if you're male then Ashley is the survivor from Virmire. <-- ME1 spoilers and minor spoilers for ME2

killroy
No actually...there are quite a bit of choices that come back to bite you or help you if you have played mass effect 1...its not suggested to play me2 directly, if you do have the option of playing mass effect 1 first. the citadel choice, wrex getting saved and choice between kaidan and ashley from first game are there...but there are other things which i think are going to play a major role in the third game, for example scanning the keepers from Chorban...i got an very very interesting update from Chorban...something big is going to go down in the third game, you will miss it if you dont play ME1 Also the rachni queen choice is there. and others too...for the best experience play mass effect 1 first...you will miss out on quite a bit if you dont. It really helps in the story cohesion. ME1 spoilers up...read at own discretion ONLY if you have played ME1 now i had a question, does anyone know how the saves are going to be imported into mass effect 3. I mean I have a save file before the last mission in me2. I finished it once, but didnt like the results. So i reloaded the save file of same character and finished it again. People who completed will know it gives a message at the end of the game. Anyone know what to do from there to prep save for ME2? Can I use same characters different end games? @godspeed: Also if you are playing PC version and have already played mass effect 1 before, you can get save files to import and make sure they match your mass effect 1 playthrough. But this can only be done on PC. This information courtesy john117.

killroy
Im assuming you got ME2 for the X360...no other way to proceed other than play ME1 from scratch. Or start new character and live with the choices the game makes for you by default. If you are PC, then rejoice

If you are PC, then rejoice neither do i have the game, nor do i have the patience to play tha whole game again when ME2 disc is besides me. Feels a bit bad, there should have been an option of letting the players make the choices again in ME2.
