neither do i have the game, nor do i have the patience to play tha whole game again when ME2 disc is besides me. Feels a bit bad, there should have been an option of letting the players make the choices again in ME2.

go to masseffectsaves.com

it has multiple ready game saves. choose the one which is closest to your options in ME1. that should get your started the way its meant to be.

I initially started ME1 playthrough on X360 thinking id be getting a copy of ME2 for the X360...but im glad I went the PC way. The game is just way better on the PC with better graphics, a more squad friendly system (Q and E for the two members)and most importantly the hotkeys for the biotics and powers. Cant go back to the X360 version.

I guess I do have lots of patience. I played ME1 on PC but right now I am playing ME1 on 360 .. so I won't be able to play ME2 until I finish it. (And I will have my ME2 copy tomorrow).

But it's totally worth it man. I thought I'd rush my 2nd PT, but I just am not being able to. Everything is just so worth doing again. :roflroll:

apparently this was indeed a feature of the game until very late, when it was ripped out by bioware. if you've played the game, then the part early on in the game when you first meet miranda and are flying on your way to see the illusive man... they ask you a couple of questions and the dialogue ends. that part was supposed to be much longer, where they would ask you about all the choices you made in the first game and that would have been final. no idea why they changed it.

after an amazing 42 hours...... I am done :threatenlumber:

The game blew my mind away. I really felt i was playing a movie D=

and the last mission is so freakin full of win its not even fair to compare other games to this.....

Although i'm a tad dissatisfied at the outcome of my choices in the last mission. too many good people died

Oh well. atleast i know now what choices not to make :D

*loads up second last save to replay final mission*

the last mission for me was WTF fail. then i went O Rly as i pounded the thing to oblivion.

there's too little betrayal and intrigue in the mass effect universe. There's so much more they can do.

take for instance, another great bioware game knights of the old republic, where one of the quests involves you investigating a murder and trying to piece together what happened... so you might be light side but there is still a real chance that you might condemn an innocent man to his death and the trial on manaan is just fabulous...

for a story driven shooter mass effect 2 is great, and there are a lot of memorable quests, but in terms of pushing the envelope no not really... do you see seriously evil people becoming your allies (apart from jack)? nope... i feel like they should have

made people pick between morinth and samara

similarly there's no influence system at play, its all happy team gathering and lets all go kill the collectors... i mean after dragon age , I would have expected something deeper from the companions.

Just finished the game. Took me around 27 hours. It's 3:30 AM. I usually never stay up this late playing a game on a weekday but I just could not stop.

What can I say? Bioware... :( It's seriously one of the best games of all time and it has landed a spot in my top 10 games of all time (replacing the first Mass Effect). The last mission and everything leading up to it was freakin' EPIC!

BTW I'm pretty happy with my decisions, almost no casualties took place and Shepard is still alive and kicking. The game also lets you continue after the ending so you can finish all pending side quests etc.

PS: I'm also f**king mad at Bioware.

Despite giving the romance option they still did not show Tali's face.

What a tease!

@xenophon, at no point did the game never tried to be like DAO or KOTOR. Granted the developer is the same but those are different games. Mass Effect has always been an epic cinematic adventure more on the lines of classic space opera stuff like Star Trek, BSG or Firefly. I agree that there was some room for more sinister choices and plot development but that is not really the point of the game. It wants to make you feel like a badass space hero and it succeeds at that. It's like playing through your own blockbuster sci-fi movie. If you want to play a true RPG with shades of grey then DAO is your game.

If at the end of the day it's a story-driven shooter then so be it. It's a fantastic game regardless.

all of you guys who have finished the game please discuss anything in the spoilerific thread.

you guys have no idea how tempting it is to unspoil the spoilers.

And its also damn frustrating sitting here in office and reading that lesser mortals have finished the game already

Unfortunately, I only started using Warp ammo near the end of the game. Also, Charge is probably the coolest looking biotic attack in game!

I can't wait to start my second playthrough on the 360. This time with an imported character.

Also, somehow I'm now used to the default Shepard character model. The face and the voice go along really well.

@DevilsOwn: YOU MUST RESIST! Or be smart like Afty, bul and others and avoid this thread altogether  I don't wish to go to the spoilers thread either. There are certain choices for which I don't want to know the consequences until I play the game again.
