Finished the game.

No one died but I think completing the loyalty missions is expected out of everyone. Ending was a bit, just a wee bit of a let-down. I mean, where the f**k is the Harbinger? I wanted to Warp his a*s to shreds but no, I makes some wisecrack but revenge, lol.

Also: here come the Reapers.

IF they revealed that, then how would they make ME3 eh? :panic:

And what's with all the Batman vs Superman stuff of late??

And yes,

Batman is the best!

:scratchchin:

I don't know how exactly you have made your decisions but I will try to help;

1. Upgrade Normandy. You will mostly (but not always) need Platinum, which you've to mine via planet scanning.

2. To get the options of Normandy upgrades, you've to speak to all your team-mates and see what they have to offer for [NORMANDY UPGRADES]. Like Gaurav said, shields, plating and guns will do.

3. Next you have to make the right decisions for the two squads which will attack the Collectors

4. Legion should be the obvious choice for the tech expert who needs to go into the tunnels

5. I made Garrus one of the squad leaders

6. I asked Mordin to escort the crew back to Normandy

7. I asked Jack for the biotic cover against the swarms

8. The final three comprised of a Miranda and Garrus.

Read the choices carefully. Keep the teams balanced. Make sure that the powerful biotics (Jack, Samara and Miranda) aren't on the same team as it makes the other team un-balanced. Rest is simple.

FIXED!!!!

To add to the above posts.

4. Tali or Legion works as the tech expert.

5. Miranda, Garrus or Jacob can be the squad leaders

6. Any loyal member can be the escort

7. Samara or Jack must be the biotic specialist

8. Tali and Mordin can die for no reason at all if left to hold the door, so either send one of them back as escort or take them with you for the last fight. They can survive without doing any of this too.

Balancing teams is not an issue.

Somehow I feel proud that my whole crew survived in my first playthrough and back then I didn't know anything about the nature of the ending and the outcomes.

Same here, went into the last mission with no idea who gonna get whacked....so the tension was genuine...

I was like "FK Yeah", when everyone survived!!

IIRC you were the first one to finish the game here.

Actually it's very easy to get the good ending if you listen to the dialog and know your crew members well enough. I loved how Bioware designed the last mission to be dynamic instead of just another routine mission and boss fight. The only problem I see is carrying the whole thing over to the next game, especially the characters. Then again, they'll probably just introduce new ones along with Liara re-joining the group.

BTW, I wasn't all "fk yeah" about the good ending. I was like... "Hmmm... that felt a little too easy". At least in ME1 you lost one team member no matter what you decided. The second time however I lost

Kelly and most of the Normandy crew

because I wasted a lot of time after the

IFF mission

. That hurt.... BAD.

Exactly. It felt soo good to realize that every squad decision that I had agonized over bore fruit.

yea i'm surprised when people say that they lost half their crew or more. i managed to save all of mine without trying too hard (although i never managed to recruit the 'last member' you get. didn't know what i was doing when i sold it to cerberus for 50k useless credits :P)

The only thing I didn't like about it is how

Tali and Mordin can die randomly if left to defend the door.

Its not like taking them to the last fight sounds any easier for them.
