finally got mass effect 1 for the PC. Im planning on finishing this and importing this jane shepard for my 2nd me2 playthrough. Im loving this game. I strongly suggest ppl who havent played me1 to stop playing me2 until u have played and finished me1.Besides the story, some of the major choices u make in me1 have consequences in me2 and your paragon/renegade level stacks aswell.

ME2 combat is a huge jump over the first. It's streamlined and tight and very fast with the hot key mapping for squad mates. Going back to ME1 is tough.

You should've played ME1 first because it builds a huge background which is not well explored in the second game.

finished mass effect ,end was epic btw . Imported me1 character and am already in my 2nd playthrough of mass effec2. These are the changes in my 2nd playthrough.

Saved the council

chose cpt anderson for the council.

Saved ashley williams on virmyre

Urdnot Wrex is alive

Besides this, i keep encountering many familiar characters from me1 whom i did not encounter in my first me2 playthrough. Game is awsome :)

Yeah if you load an ME1 Shepard into ME2 you will run into a lot of characters from the first game. But if you start ME2 with a new character most of them will be missing or replaced by default ones.

Awesome game is Awesome :harhar:

Started playing today, absolutely loving it so far.

Can some one suggest me a good weapon combo though? I'm 2-3 hours into the game, with collector weapons/armors unlocked

Use inferno in the beginning. Once the machine gun is available reset your skill points and switch to armor piercing ammo. Most troublesome enemies from this point should have high armor, so it should make it pretty easy.

IS A LIARA T’SONI DLC IN THE WORKS FOR MASS EFFECT 2?

Someone (PC nerd) with far too much time on their hands has uncovered quite the biotic nugget of a rumor. Apparently, some audio DLC lead in files have been found in the massive clutter suggesting that everyone’s favorite Asari hottie may have a bigger role to play in Mass Effect 2 than originally thought. I Shepard had the hots for this curvy minx in the first one and I he was very disappointed with her limited role in the sequel.

As one of the more popular characters in the franchise it makes sense that developers would want to flesh out her story a bit more, especially considering her drastic change in character. A DLC segment would do well to help bridge the gap with what happened to cause her transformation from the sweet, sexy woman-alien we all know and loved to the cold, power hungry wench. (Ok, maybe her character shift wasn’t that bad, but it definitely made me lose interest in her all the same. Then again, it could’ve been that Cerberus eye candy in a white jumper that caused me to lose interest, who knows!) If there is to be a new Mass Effect 2 DLC featuring Liara, it would likely focus on her hunt for the shadow broker as it seemed like a juicy sub-plot that again never got fleshed out. While this is purely rumor and speculation, it is worth noting that similar buried audio files were found by some nerd that exposed Kasumi’s character and DLC long before it was announced. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, how bout you fellow biotic nerdlings?

i doubt i'll pay for liara dlc. in fact, i don't think i'm going to pay for any more dlc from bioware... all of their offerings so far for dragon age and me2 have not been worth the asking price. they've been fun, but not really worth it. i should probably uninstall the game and get 15gb hard disk space back.

Awakening is an expansion pack, not a DLC. It has a seperate story, loads of new quests, new game world, new skills and a 20+ hour playtime. It's definitely not like the DLCs that Bioware keeps coming up with.

I guess the only games to have worthwhile DLCs are GTA IV, Fallout 3 and Borderlands.

awakening isn't really dlc... more of an expansion. and honestly, it hasn't been received that well either. certainly nowhere near the reception that it's big brother got. the best thing that people seem to say about awakening is that it's more of the same.
