You never know how much some1 is avoiding pre release info and when they come to a thread expecting it to be spoiler free as claimed by the thread title , it better be .. Daedalus Posted January 21, 2010 Report Share Posted January 21, 2010 Alright, to point something out, Post 1: i dont know if this already posted or not....but i just found this off the wikipedia link for the game: WARNING: if true, might contain the whole plot; please do not read in that case.....rest is upto you "Mass Effect 2 begins as the Normandy, the protagonist Commander Shepard's ship, comes under attack by an unknown enemy while patrolling for geth. The ship suffers extensive damage, forcing the crew to evacuate in escape pods. Shepard is the last to escape the ship before it is destroyed completely, but eventually asphyxiates and dies while drifting through space. Cerberus, a pro-human paramilitary organization, retrieves Shepard's corpse and resuscitates the Commander through the Lazarus Project. Two years later in 2185, Shepard is awakened from a coma aboard a Cerberus ship that is under attack, and aids Cerberus agents Miranda Lawson and Jacob Taylor in escaping. Shepard is taken to Cerberus' headquarters and given an audience with the Illusive Man, who explains that Shepard was "upgraded" and asks for the Commander's help in combating a new threat which has been abducting entire human colonies. While the use of spoiler tags should have been made (my mistake), there is a huge difference between an actual spoiler and a description of a trailer's contents. There is no way Bioware would have allowed spoilers to leak out unless it was part of their marketing plan. You guys need to define, precisely, what a spoiler constitutes. I dont remember Gamespot/IGN revealing as much info as that. Secondly, its a trailer. Are you stating that trailers shouldn't be posted now?
