I meant consoles. We will need a PC worth 1-1.5 lacs. I have a PC worth 40k, it is good enough for PS2 emulation. BTW they couldn't even emulate Xbox 1 properly, forget about 360

mera pc mein Wii games run very smoothly like about 40-60 fps on full hd ...but agar resolution kam kar de xbox 360 ka games ka then i guess it will be playable...i guess.

yaar i play without wii remote ...i use xbox controller ...tbh its not easy to play with xbox 360 controlls ...sala SMG 1 and 2 bohat difficult ho gaya tha for me at times in difficult levels...still love both those games.

Understandable as those games were made with wii remote in mind. But wii ki bhi zaroorat nahi hai?

I think an X360 controller is manageable , a couple of friends locally only bought games and never owned a Wii. Seen them playing on X360 controllers only. If your mainboard has bluebooth , a standard wiimote can be paired and used without issues. Also , for Dreamcast titles , don't stop with Shenmue alone. It's exclusive line-up is probably only matched by either PS2 or a predecessor , 2 generations before - Genesis / Mega Drive.

Thats awesome. Would buy a wiimote. Initially, i thought that to play wii games on pc, one need to have a wii as well.

Yeah, i know. Would play others as well. But would start with the shenmue series :P

^^ I think he meant the sensor bar and nunchuk as well.

@playstation

If your motherboard has a built-in bluetooth controller , you don't need a dongle. i didn't see them using a dongle but most probably would work. I can't check my Wiimote now on my PC either either as my board doesn't have a bluetooth controller.

To have a backup of your wii games. I read somewhere that it is possible :/

TO clear things up. What people mean by that is.

You always need the original console to backup the original game - This means to rip the game data from the disc while it is in the console. Since your PC drive isnt going to read a Wii,PS2,PS3,Xbox..any console disc.

This method exists because it is the only LEGIT way to playing console games on PCs. Since you OWN the disc and the Data in it. Now of course some "generous" people have already done this process and uploaded said games on certain shady parts of the internet. If you travel the high seas of the interwebz with a Black Flag get it from there :P

PC drives reads console discs just fine. The DVD drive in the PS1, PS2, Xbox, Xbox360 etc wasnt a special kind. Its the same kind of drive used in PCs all over the world. Infact both the PS1 and PS2 emulators can boot the game right of your DVD drive so you dont even need a backup. Of course for purely performance related reasons its always better to have the data on your HDD.

Havent tested it with the Wii but I think it will do the same. Dolphin has an option to boot from DVD too.

AFAIK only exception would be Gamecube discs since those used a weird a*s format.

I know all that. But what i am talking about is that i read somewhere that you can't emulate wii games on pc without actually having a wii because we can't have motion controls on pc without the console itself. I might have read something wrong then. :/ :P

You sure? ... Don't they have some security stuff on the disc so that only the console can read it?

Because IIRC when i put the ps2 disc in my dvd drive there are just 5 files and it was like 10 mb or something.

Maybe there is a way to hack your drive or something, but an sure the discs don't work directly.
