XBOX Power Brick Issue

I have the same problem. I ordered a new one for 2k. The problem usually is overheating due to dust colection inside or some internal damage. U will need to find a suitable screwdriver and open it up and clean the fan n dust. I couldnt find one that fits n i bought new power brick. its coming in few days.

There are those 4 rubber covering on bottom. you have to use some sharp knife to take it out fully. Mine was the slim too. I dunno if its different cuz i got from middle east.
Once you fully remove the rubber, you will see the screws.

can you hear the fan turning inside the power box? Mine i made it work for few hours by placing it in a certain angle and also using a usb powered fan to cool it externally. There are fixes online. you can find on youtube. There are people who took the top part out and fixed a cpu fan inside. If you dont want to spend 2k for it, try that with help of a electronics guy.

Okie thats a valuable insight..leme try removing the rubbers...the fan works for some time aft which it stops which I think is the reason for the issue..can we use the USB slot in the XBOX to connect the external fan and use it to cool both the power box and the XBOX which may prevent the console from RROD?

ya but i wouldnt recommend using more power from xbox. Try using a usb charger like the ones you get for phones. Is your x360 modded. I modded mine and my brother forgot to change settings to turn fan of xbox on. It was a disaster. Heating up to RROD range of 90+ degrees for a whole year. only the power brick failed me tho.

I got mine replaced and now its running smooth again.

try looking at youtube videos how ppl used xbox power to attach a cpu fan to the power brick. If its way past warranty period you could try that.
