I use domex and lizol to clean my house , and my dog lives with us ! We never lock him outside , he's free to go wherever he wants andstays in the house most of the time , no problems what so ever

No no, I meant, the doc said to stop using domex, lizol etc while cleaning and swabbing the floor of the house. And to start using dettol or savlon. I usually let my dogs inside the house a lot, so now I'm getting second thoughts about that. Or else i'll have to start using dettol wherever they run about. He's recommended a course of some particular sulphur lotion for 2 weeks. Hopefully the patches disappear

Ill check the name of the stuffs that we use once i get home and post back.

Its really sad to see a bad coat. the dogs themselves feel dull. After bath and drying up we always brush their coats with that special types of brush.

one with some rough surface for shine and another one to remove that leech kinda things.

Sad for my dogs? :threatenlumber::quiet_trans::thumbdown: . My dogs dont feel sad.

Actually u people are jumping the gun or dont have any idea what ur talking abt.

You people are saying sad and what nots, i would heed when u raise 8 dogs without cages. else please dont PETA me. Taking out any 2 of them for walks on weekends is a chore. :(. I miss em so much.

Oh and for the nth time. I took pics in cages else theyll lick my SLR. which dog or tiger i dont approve.

lol... to each his own....

i feel sorry for ur dogs coz

1. i treat my dogs like another member of my family

2. i wud not put family members in a cage

i never said u don't desreve to own the dogs or anything of that sort so dunno whr ur PETA comment is coming from... also if walking ur pets is a chore... i feel even more sorry for them....

u cannot blame a dumb animal for destroying ur property... they do not know better

Actually my dogs r getting slight patches on their chest/neck area and on upper body. The vet told me to stop using domex, lizol etc while cleaning and stick to dettol. He also gave a lotion which is to be applied on the dog. I dont know why the dogs are affected by Domex. Anyone know anything about this?

the vet probably advised this since he wants to rule out an allergic reaction.... the chemicals in the floor cleaners could be the reason for the patches.... or it could be something else.... once u have followed his advice... if the patches still remain/spread he will probably try another train of thought... possibly a skin disease or an allergic reaction to some food u are giving them.... for young pups if the food is too concentrated (pure milk/meat) they could be having an allergic reaction to it as well

hope they recover soon :)

zergey much better pics...

zophar nice pug as well

Yeah, will see how the 2 week course of that particular lotion goes. Its getting kinda sever now. It used to be a plush shade of black. Anyway, will avoid getting it inside the house much and will play with it in the verandah

Just started leash training tho. It simply hates leashes and i feel bad when it struggles to get out. I'm also scared it will hurt their necks. Tips?

distraction is the key with puppies.... use small treats to distract them from the collar/leash

along with the treats keep talking to them in a calm n soothe voice.... don't overfeed them treats though just a few

start with putting it on for 5 mins at a time.... as they start getting used to it start extending the duration whilst reducing the number of treats

Watching a pet show over the weekend, there was a story that dealt with that specific issue. When you first put them on a leash they will keep trying to take it off - it's something new, and they're not used to it. It's nothing to be concerned about. Giving them a treat after a walk on the leash is a good way of getting them used to it, along with lots of positive reinforcement.

Still dogs are animals. they cant help what they do as u said.

We love them as much as possible. Giving them kennels is in no way unloving. :D

When my Dog was a pup, we started his Leash training. Mom after his morning walk used to Leash him for 2 hours and then let him free for the whole day. Again after evening walk, Leash for 1 hour. He used to cry earlier so mom used to leash him closer to Kitchen or her work area, so he would feel her around and not isolated. She used to talk to him from a distance.

Later he got into the habit, and even when we never used to leash him after morning walk, he used to obediently go and sit next to the Leash place. Even when he wanted to go out, he used to bring the leash in his mouth and ask us to take him..

What a sweetu I had.. Jijo I miss you. May your soul RIP.

I dont use a leash...he free to roam wherever he wants, when its time for his walk, i just go with him...he's always at an arms length from me. I have also trained him to use a dedciated spot for do his business incase there is no one at home.

My casper also does that , whenever he wanna walk he will go dig up his leash and start roaming around with it , though we mostly dont leash him on walks , he doesnt mind leash

he will only struggle for first 15 meters of walk to get free from the leash and then he will just walk with the leash
