Risen 3: Titan Lords

^^ I hope the game draws more from the older Gothic titles and the original Risen rather than the new RPG titles.

^ I have only played arcania gothic 4 ,it was okay at best, risen 1 just lost my interest midway, the game world was great, had appropriate mixture of dark fantasy and narrative to an extent but i think the execution and mechanics/gameplay need a lot of work,if this is to be a success.

Otherwise this might be another one of those backlog games that forever stays there.

Arcania is a terrible game, not even worth being included in the Gothic series.

Gothic and Gothic 2 (along with Night of The Raven) are the best of Piranha Bytes output, Gothic 3 would have been good too, if only it was less broken.

Risen I agree is a bit of a chore but I am enjoying it. Risen 2 is just borderline okay.

I actually enjoyed the first half of Risen more than the second.

Maybe because at the start it is a tactical game unlike the second half which becomes,

Yup and it also felt a somewhat linear compared to the early part of the game. I loved doing quests in and around the city. Plus the fact that most quests weren't "follow the marker" type of deal.

Pre-order is up on Steam. Available through trading for less than half the asking price. The publisher Deep Silver are absolute dicks when it comes to region locking so if anyone is interested, get it now before they lock it.

^^ I noticed that you have already purchased this. Where is the best place to get this cheap?

And how do these guys get these Steam gifts so cheap?

Well I see you picked it up as well. The cheapest way to get it is from Russian traders on tf2outpost.com, steamtrades.com or /r/steamgameswap. Publishers usually set regional pricing for games which means they are often much cheaper in Russia and Eastern European countries. If the game itself has no region locks, then Russian traders can buy a copy at their reduced price and sell it to you for a small premium. That way they get a small profit and you get the game much cheaper than it would have cost to buy directly from Steam.

Got it for 11 keys. I hope it works in my region.

It will. They haven't locked down the game yet so any copies that are already redeemed will be fine. Deep Silver would have to pull off an absolutely monumental dick move to lock these copies now... something that has never been successfully* done on Steam before.

If you want to avoid the hassle of keys and all I can hook you up with my trader. Just keep him on your friends list and whenever a game that you want pops up you can Paypal the money to him and he'll buy you the game. The premium he charges is ~10% over the Russian store price but it's far cheaper than the price on our Steam store so...

*Ubisoft tried once and then had to back down because of the backlash.
