Wow, really?? Would love to know which mod was this.

Doesn't matter. its a trivial issue.

But I really don't understand why keeping logo of a political party of picture of deity is a issue worth correcting.

Other day, people were raising fingers on Modi for showing Kamal emblem and having picture of God Ram on backdrop of his stage.

Doordarshan dropped Satyam Shivam Sundaram from their logo.

All this is unnecessary.

This forum should be devoid of any political/Religious talks, its in the rules. Even starting this thread was controversial but they made an exception.

I really doubt you will be allowed to have that DP or any party's picture as your DP. It's against the forum rules.

See? They didn't want to start this thread. I distinctly remember politics is against forum rules.

wow ! removing a dp, just an innocuous avatar, to preserve some sacrosanct rules ??

that is a bit too much. i mean.. could it really have caused any harm ? i dont think so.

anyhoo, it's the mod's discretion.

Good to see that you are taking it sportingly, Udham.

Oh wow!! Banning avatars? That must be a first on the internet. I mean i can understand if it was something provocative or nsfw but a simple tagline thats repeated thousand of times across other mediums on daily basis is banned and for what? I wonder whats next? Hmmm... Let me take a guess, locking up this thread ;)

I thought it was, I even remember reading it somewhere, can a mod confirm ?

Its not. It was just mutually decided to not have anything of that sort because the userbase was new, young and we didnt want hit and run posts. If anything, this thread has proved that people here are mature enough to discuss about stuff like these without it turning ugly (and some guys wanted it to turn ugly ) and not many thought it would last as long as it did.

Well done guys.

On this forum, since politics is a volatile (and well... disallowed) topic, anything pertaining to it should remain in this thread.

Example : If someone mentions "For sale, PS3 games. PM me" in their signature, it will be removed because there is a specific place for that content.

That said, governance and politics has been very shallow in our country. A unified party ideology is required. But Congress is regarded as a nepotistic party, and BJP as a Hindu nationalist party. It is sad really.

Oh and if Modi does come to power, it will be more due to anti-incumbency than his performance as CM.

Congress will be going due to anti-incumbency

But N.Modi over anyone else will be coming to power (likely with record margin) due to his history as an administrator of Gujarat

I have a fear of some major regional party like BSP/SP getting a good number of seats and forming a third front coalition.

ain't happening , even if it does with some congress support, they will withdraw it writhin few months as it has been the case earlier.

^AAP will (should) not support any party to form a government. Because for them, the realistic goal at this point of time should be Delhi assembly elections. They shouldn't even have contested LS seats in so many different parts of the country because they are taking high risk and it may backfire.

If they support BJP in LS (even outside support), then they are ensuring BJP victory in Delhi polls as well. And that will mean we wait five more years for AAP magic (if it exists) to happen.

If they support Congress in LS, then the "AAP is a Congress stooge" rumours will get cemented in public opinion. And in this scenario, BJP wins by huge margin in Delhi.

Edit : I am not entirely pro-AAP. I feel our nation could do with a third major party. At least for 5-10 years it will be good until the rot of complacency and corruption sets in. And India can achieve a lot in those 5-10 years alone.

Haa woh sab toh ttheek hai

Par Agar BJP gets less then 230-50

Then it'll be trouble for this guy

Then Rajnath or Advani will become PM

Those figures are possible only if they rig EVMs. But Jaya will support him...they have Chemistry.

And Rajnath has denied being part of govt. Advani is old crook he can play game.
