No you unlock it after completing some missions or actions i believe..then you can buy with in-game credits which you get after completing missions..Haven't you played the game ? There were quite a few items which were tied to club competitions. Phantom gears was the ultimate stealth gear you could find in this game. The stats were really good when fully upgraded. It's a much better AC game with better story, fun gameplay and much much better and more likable characters. It's not as impressive as Unity coz they have scaled down some stuff to get stable frame-rate with good visuals, but gameplay is much better and more fun imo. Moving around the world is more fun in Syndicate than any other AC game released till now.. It's universally considered as one of the best AC games. Every IVG member except Dinjo enjoyed Syndicate more than Unity.. And PS4 version of Syndicate is solid. Ambar is playing on PS4 and he is really enjoying the game.
