If you are that much of a purist, why not demand for entire game set in French language and play with subtitles? At-least Ezio and Connor sounded like they were from the region. Do a local artist to get the feel. And yes, I play METRO with Russian voiceovers and English subs on a second play-through. French accent would give a different feel to the game, like AC2, I suppose. That's one of the main reasons why people like Ezio. His accent! It was very refreshing for me! It gives a feeling that you're actually there in that place! A very different atmosphere! If there's no french accent, then what's the use of all these? It's like a movie made by some foreigners taking place in India with Indians speaking in American/French accent! Doesn't make any sense! My opinion!! I even tried only Italian language option with English subs in AC2, but the sheer volume of dialogues was too much for me. But AC is all about absorbing yourself into the environment. And it is jarring that characters supposed to be in France are speaking with foreign accents. AC2 had the solution of using Italian-inflected english, an imperfect solution but a solution at least.
