dylanjosh
Yeah French accents would have been a nice touch. AC2 had Italian accents and it was better for it. Local accents always make the game better IMO. The Metro games come to mind.

Heaven Angel
BEHOLD!Assassin's Creed dev thinks industry is dropping 60 fps standardThis week, gamers accused Ubisoft of keeping the frame rate and resolution down to these numbers to avoid the PS4 having a graphical advantage, but Nicolas Guérin, World Level Design Director on Unity, told TechRadar that the decision was partly to give the game more of a cinematic gloss(...) "At Ubisoft for a long time we wanted to push 60 fps. I don't think it was a good idea because you don't gain that much from 60 fps and it doesn't look like the real thing. It's a bit like The Hobbit movie, it looked really weird. "And in other games it's the same - like the Rachet and Clank series [where it was dropped]. So I think collectively in the video game industry we're dropping that standard because it's hard to achieve, it's twice as hard as 30fps, and its not really that great in terms of rendering quality of the picture and the image."Alex Amancio, the game's Creative Director, reiterated this point: "30 was our goal, it feels more cinematic. 60 is really good for a shooter, action adventure not so much. It actually feels better for people when it's at that 30fps. First: We are targing 1080p at 60fps on both platforms. Second: We "locked" both version specs / resolutions at 900p 30fps to "avoid debate and stuff". Third: That's not true (avoid stuff). We wanted 100 fps but both CPUs had bottlenecks for AI. That's why we locked both versions at 30fps / 900p. Forth: That was also a lie. Nothing was locked and finalized. Now: We purposefully chose 30fps because it suits our game and industry is moving away from 60fps. CarbonCore
Ubisoft PR is on a vacation in Paris, they'll probably have to issue gag order until they come back.

Max Pain
Except the city, Paris, nothing is intriguing me to buy this! :/ The combat looks utter sh*t! Especially after playing SoM. And the worst part is, sound effects are still the same. They have always been quite annoying in this series. Ubisoft

zen
Everybody knows what to expect from AC by now. But the environment looks beautiful and detailed, and over the last few years that has been what drew me to the series. Pre-order confirmed. But the environment looks beautiful and detailed, and over the last few years that has been what drew me to the series. Pre-order confirmed. Assassin's Creed stopped being games about gameplay a long time ago. I simply play a*s Creed games now to experience what older cities and environments were like while enhancing my knowledge of history somewhat
