Heaven Angel
Apparently the patch doesn't seem to do anything. UPLAY users have reported that before preload and after patch files are same (except .exe). Also, some tweaks via nVidia control panel. This guy is getting 55-60 stable fps with PCSS on and everything on ULTRA. He's on GTX 970. (will check and report back)

Apparently the patch doesn't seem to do anything. Wrong.....It fixes all microtransaction problems..Now you can spend money @ 60fps on BS in-game items lol... Heaven Angel
^You can try forcing AA via nVidia panel and see the result. Then I read that the game has severe issues with in game vsync and AA.So I turned off the ingame vsync and AA, downloaded the NVIDIA Inspector (via Guru 3D) and enabled these settings:
CarbonCore
I tried his method through Catalyst Control, force AA, AF and V-sync and disable in-game and getting respectable 40+ fps in crowds. The CPU cores are off the hook though, all four cores running at 85-90% all the time.

Heaven Angel
The main root cause of the issue isn't AMD or for that matter Nvidia who's mid-range products run into issues as well, it's Ubisoft. The DX11 game currently is pushing roughly 50,000 draw calls on the DirectX 11 API. DX11 is designed to handle ~10,000 peak draw calls. Mantle and DirectX 12 are designed to handle that number, but not DX11. Ubisoft just started responding to this on their forums: We are aware that the graphics performance of Assassin’s Creed Unity on PC may be adversely affected by certain AMD CPU and GPU configurations. This should not affect the vast majority of PC players, but rest assured that AMD and Ubisoft are continuing to work together closely to resolve the issue, and will provide more information as soon as it is available. http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/assassins-creed-unity-not-running-well-on-amd-hardware.html __ Couple screenshots from different timeline (RIFTs): Water looks great during morning: Edited November 14, 2014 by Heaven Angel

CarbonCore
The framerate almost doubles during those rift missions, stays locked 60fps throughout. The reason? No fking NPCs
