I'm not surprised. Fighters always look the best.

Hows the gameplay though? Is there input lag like in Fight Night Champion and EA MMA?

Here's my mini review of the demo:

  • The graphics are gorgeous! Fighters look and move like the real thing. Animations are not as smooth though especially when one fighter kicks and the other one punches at the same time. It looks clunky.
  • There is a nice tutorial which takes you through all the controls. There are way too many button combos to remember. No analog stick punching controls.
  • The demo is set at easy and can't be changed. You can't change the fighters as well. Gus vs Jones.
  • Surprisingly, punching doesn't seem to have the same impact on the fighters like in Fight Night..A haymaker punch which would stun the fighter in FN barely registers here...at least visually.
  • The ground game has been overtly simplified. You now just push buttons in the direction in which you want to squeeze. If the other player counters then you push in another direction.
  • Overall it seems like this game is a mixture of EA MMA and UFC Undisputed. I won't be getting it at launch but will surely get it sometime later when the price drops.

Yes, i've played FNC and the input lag is definitely there...

I think It's happening coz game runs at 30fps? .There was no input lag in FNR4 coz it was running at 60fps.... :|

60fps is must for these type of games .EA is going for HQ graphics over gameplay fluidity just like all developers this gen.... :|

Nope its kinda weird as always. I dont get why add all this depth when one cant even play the game properly :/

But still this game is a visual treat. Maybe the next one they will optimize it better and give us 60FPS.

Yup fighters rely heavily on quick reactions , this whole cinematic 30 FPS BS ruined everythning :

Digital Foundry did an interesting tech analysis of the demo. They don't seem to impressed.

Not only is it not 60 fps, but it also isn't 1080p. It's 900p on both consoles.

It's only when examining selected anti-aliasing techniques that we see any real differences between the two. The PS4 version utilises a much more comprehensive 4x MSAA solution (perhaps with a post-process anti-aliasing technique on top) that manages to nearly eliminate aliasing in most situations despite the lower resolution. Xbox One doesn't fare quite so well, with image quality falling short of the PS4 version - 2x MSAA appears to be present, though we're not sure if there's a post-process on top, or whether we're just seeing the results of upscaling.

While they both generally maintain this level of performance, we found that slight frame-rate disturbances impact the fluidity of the experience, particularly on PS4. The fights themselves maintain a mostly consistent update, but the rest of the experience feels unpolished as a result. We also observe occasional torn frames manifesting on PS4 along the top ten per cent of the image though the darkened arena does a good job at hiding this flaw most of the time.

So, while PS4 has a distinct advantage in terms of image quality, it is the Xbox One version of the game that has the slightest of performance advantages. Once the fight begins, however, they both put up similar statistics and the PS4 issues - as small as they are - will hopefully be corrected for launch.

Also, massive difference in load times. 36 secs on X1 as opposed to 20 secs on PS4,

No it won't.

http://gearnuke.com/xbox-one-external-hdd-load-times-comparison-show-close-50-improvement/

Forza 5 load times on internal HDD is 51 secs and on external only 22seconds ...Massive improvement right there..

The faster load times mentioned there are only for external HDDs, not the internal one. And most people will only bother with an external drive once they run out of space.

No...They are testing the game on internal HDD not external....External HDD is nowhere mentioned in the article...
