^ I would suggest that you search around more before committing to these numbers.

Well I actually searched and the outcome was that it's not necessary that Contrast ratio higher is better. It all depends on the viewing of the consumer. The monitor both have almost same features except few changes. Well I'll go and check out the monitor from some computer shop. Thanks

^ That is what I meant by stating that the Dynamic Contrast Ration numbers are more-less useless to real world performance of the device.

High Dynamic Contras Ratio does not matter, what is the actual Contrast Ration of the monitor matters more.

If you can demo the pieces, that would be best. Yes.

So ASUS Vs LG which one is better. None of them includes actual Contrast ratio. ASUS has more ratio than LG. LG claims 10000000:1 whereas ASUS claims 80000000:1 so what do u think?

if you are buying the monitor for gaming,i wouldn't be worried too much about those numbers, these are nearly the same panels. You should rather lookout for input delay and response times. That effects gaming more directly.

Btw Dell monitor is worse. It has 7ms gtg even tho it wouldn't matter I still want that one which has 5ms or below on an IPS panel. Btw ASUS is better I read the review that ASUS uses AH IPS panel which is better than standard LG IPS Panel. Let's see.

For you I recommend ASUS VK247H

http://www.primeabgb.com/asus-vk248h-24-inch-led-monitor-with-webcam.html

Or ASUS VE247

Or Benq 2420 (Google up)

All are really good.

But if you want to wait for Alpha then.....

I was looking at aoc i2369vm how about it? .. It has a display port also.

This AOC Monitor is very good.

Look for LG23EA63V too as it is also good. Only down point is that LG has some sharpness bug. Dunno if it is fixed or not.

aoc monitors are great as a product, only problem is their service and support better go with lg,i have a an aoc monitor right now and the experience with the support is horrid to say the least.

True but AOC normally does not give problems. It's a rare case. At least I haven't heard of any prob AOC Monitor gives. But yes the service is very bad. LG gives good support. I heard through many forums.

I agree, one of friends faced an issue with dead pixels and only because of the shop keeper being a good guy were we replaced for a SAMSUNG piece.

Just an Update I Bought the ASUS MX279H from Primeabgb for 27k. Now I will test it for 20 days. Make my eyes comfortable with it & give reviews about the Monitor.
