Ne0 Posted April 12, 2015 Report Share Posted April 12, 2015 Well BSB opens up another optional area in Cathedral Ward that leads to arguably the best weapon in the game, Holy Blade. are you referring to the small opening that leads to those guys in wheelchair / hole / ultimately the unseen village ? that's where i'm at now .... if this is the optional area, where is the actual area to proceed ? In Souls games all optional bosses give you some cool weapon or armor..In DS2 you get cool executioner armor by defeating Chariot Boss in Undead Purgatory.. I think the long bag dudes are everywhere until you kill some specific boss. If you are captured, you should be in Hypogean Gaol(which later on will be called Yarahgul Unseen village). The right door of Cathedral ward leads to you an area called the Healing Church. Man this game is so connected, it becomes difficult to explain. If you are in Hypogean gaol, it is best place to farm some blood echoes, as those "sackboys" give you hell lot of echoes(there is a bug which you can use it in your favour). I would suggest you lit the lamp first(go top and not below). Also, try to acquire Tonitrus while you are here because later on this area becomes a b**ch and you might end up doing a speed run. In mergo's loft middle-The things with brain on head can get you pretty easy echoes.killing 4 would give you around 40k.Just take sedatives and it would be easy farming. Shadoken Posted April 13, 2015 Author Report Share Posted April 13, 2015 (edited) Thats what i do after knowing whole game is like that.Just run around the enemies and find a shortcut.Makes the enemies other than Bossea pointless with only one use i.e upgrade your level. It would have been much better if they would have put a check point before boss.And it is mandate to kill all enemies before that check point.Much more fun in that.Plus you upgrade right before the boss after the echoes you got from the cleared enemies.They could have made enemies super tough.That would have been challenging.Here its just tedious work to farm echoes. You need to do some amount of exploration . But hey if you are used to playing games with dull combat where you just wanna rush to watch the next cutscene this isn't for you .
