WhiteWolf
^Your constant BS posts will not fix the issue. It was blight town level of frame-rate hiccups in that area for me. Maybe latest patch broke something i don't know, but frame-rate drops every time i go in that area and it's very much noticeable. And this issue is all over the internet, iam not making this up to bash your beloved exclusive game. I also like the game and enjoying every moment of it and will buy DLC as well but that doesn't mean game is perfect without any issues.. The only BS source you provided is some thread on reddit that has less than 5 upvotes. All the regulars who played the game has not encountered anything similar to what you have been ranting about. edit: ohh wait, did I fall for your flamebait Edited March 10, 2016 by Keano
Ethan_Hunt
It's pretty much a combination of cloth physics, water and fog simulation which tanks the frame rate. The amount of characters being rendered on screen doesn't help either. The game does have an uneven frame rate at times, but it's stable for most part and isn't truly game breaking. If you need to farm, hit one of the chalice dungeons. Lower Loran Layer 2 in particular had this section which was dead easy: If you have a PSN+ subscription, just join go online and hit up this dungeon through a quick search. Farm away. WhiteWolf
Keano I posted multiple links regarding this above and you can also google if you want. I visited that area multiple times to farm soul and experience same hiccups every time. I don't know what's the issue. My PS4 is fine coz game runs fine in other areas. I have not experienced any bug or any crash. Issue only happens when i go there. That area is not properly optimized, maybe latest patch did something there i don't know :| The game does have an uneven frame rate at times, but it's stable for most part and isn't truly game breaking. Yeah nothing is game breaking..I never said it's game breaking but it does affect combat sometimes.. I died in that area twice coz of bad frame-rate. Now best way to kill them is to lure them near entrance door and then take them out one by one Edited March 10, 2016 by WhiteWolf

So you don't need to hit that area very often. I used it when I was at a lower level, but soon realised there were much better places out there. Just don't grind too hard for Blood echoes. Go for the Chalice dungeons. It's a great way to get some awesome blood gems which will boost your damage stats. Trust me, it would be much better than leveling up. WhiteWolf
Iam grinding coz I want to be level 100+ before i start Old Hunter DLC.. That DLC looks very hard FromSoft always makes DLC expansion of their games crazy hard compared to main game lol Edited March 10, 2016 by WhiteWolf
Ethan_Hunt
Iam grinding coz I want to be level 100+ before i start Old Hunter DLC.. That DLC looks very hard FromSoft always makes DLC expansion of their games crazy hard compared to main game lol I haven't played the DLC, but from what I've read online, the minimum level requirement for normal game is 65 and 100+ is for NG+ people. If you finish the main storyline, you'll immediately be thrown into NG+ mode and the DLC areas would be shut. You'll have to redo a lot before you open up the required area. So best stay in your current game and play it normally. Mix it up with Chalice dungeons if you want and then hit the DLC. It's not like you have specific quests to address which would break your flow of the main "storyline".

Aloy
The best area for blood echoes farming in the base game is Nightmare of Mensis IMO.It's late in the game(after defeating Mergo) but it's worth it. Just spawn at Mergo's lamp and track back. You will encounter 3 giant pigs(easy to defeat) and 4-5 shadow of Yharnam(extremely easy to parry). In this way, you get around 40K+ blood echoes in a single run, far better than the lecture building that gives around 12K echoes in a run. It took me almost a month to complete everything the base game offered, including the chalice dungeons. Go for chalice dungeons. The depth 4 & 5 dungeons will have bosses that will kick your a*s. But it's dam fun to explore. Go for it.
WhiteWolf
I ignored lot of side stuff and used guide I was tired of getting stuck, so I had to use guide to progress. I have not tried all Chalice Dungeons yet and 3 optional bosses are left...Cosmos Daughter and Emissary and one more. I will explore the world now and go for platinum if possible. Anyway, Blood Rock is found in Nightmare of Mensis in a secret place. It's better to watch a video about it as you need to go off the main path to get it.
