theneurotoxin
Yea but there were more seasons in between which were not all about looking after tyres. Which doesn't take away from the fact that the switch to Pirellis is the greatest addition to F1 since the Schumi era, greater than "Hammy". 2007 - The least deserved WDC of all time? Gifted on a platter due to Mclarens policy of no Team Orders. Then again I would rather support a team who does not give orders than a team that does. Yes, yes, least deserved WDC of all time; Kimi won only because of McLaren's team orders. Lets all act as if Stepney-gate did not happen. Boo f**king hoo. The glory hunters of the Ferrari era are better than the "McLaren fans" that tolerate Lewis pissing all over McLaren after a qualy that went sour. devil_angel
@CC I missed Brundle's view of the Hamilton's day. Can u quote him? And someone mentioned that Senna got bashed like hell. But he was such a 'for the fan' driver. He used to be so open with fans. If something went wrong with the team strategy or decision, he went to the fans after the race and told them, "See.....this is what the team did to me today." That is what made him so special. He almost never gave in to the team.

When you needs artificial rear wings and tires that are designed to deliberately wear out fast I will call the state of affair sad. Kimi won only because Mclaren let their drivers race. Kimi performed better in 03/04/05/06 but ended up with nothing because of the car he had and lots of bad luck. 07 he just started and finished the races and watched the Mclarens self-destruct. Like i said you need people who dont give a crap what others think and speak their heart out. Exact reason I like also José Mourinho. Hey hey hey..you forgot they "borrow" stuff too. I'm was actually not at all disappointed when mclaren did not win the WDC 07. If they had people would have said they won because of cheating. piper
First lets get Hamilton a teammate like Alain Prost. Then reenact the season finale races of 1989 and 1990. Lets see how he fares.

CarbonCore
And he has been unlucky all weekend Yeah him and the other drivers he tried to overtake I don't mind people talking trash and not giving a damn about what others think, but at least stick to what you said instead of running to officials for an apology within 24 hours of the statement. I don't remember Senna or even his other white brother Alonso apologizing so hastily. And saying that people are targeting him because he is black is just disgraceful, even if you're just trying to be funny.

DRS is purely a mechanism to negate loss in aero while following a car. It's just an enabling device; it still takes skill to pull off a clean move. This isn't very different to the over-boost button during the turbocharger era that most fans seem to love. As for the Pirellis, all participants are on an equal footing. If it makes for a better spectacle why not use it? Kimi won only because Mclaren let their drivers race. Kimi performed better in 03/04/05/06 but ended up with nothing because of the car he had and lots of bad luck. 07 he just started and finished the races and watched the Mclarens self-destruct.It was a joke that the McLaren drivers were even classified in that championship. And he has been unlucky all weekend. For which he blames the team, stewards and other drivers. Makes sense. devil_angel
And how unlucky was Jenson during the race to miss pole? Infact, Lewis's crash effectively cost him the place!
megzworld
We are a rare breed in India bro. We are not the glory hunters who started watching F1 around 00-04 and ended up supporting the team that was winning. And wat makes it worse is that they claim they have been Ferrari fans from the times they were wee little toddlers. Im not saying all ferrari fans are but most of them. But Bro.. I am not a BRO.. I am a girl - Mclaren fan.

MarketTantrik
Very few of you actually know the history of F1 or have followed F1 racing since before the last decade, yet are happy to trumpet names like Senna and Prost and roast Hamilton. Not only that, but to pass judgment on Lewis' skill and temperament in the manner you are doing is just sad. How many of you have taken the time to watch Lewis' performances during his karting days? (There are plenty of youtube'd videos if you need to catch up). How many of you have seen even a single one of Lewis' GP2 races? How many of you were old enough or interested enough to track F1 during Ayrton Senna's career while it happened? (We didnt have live race feeds in India during that period, so I used to watch "The World This Week" hosted by Prannoy Roy to catch up). Lewis' actions are the reason McLaren did not win yesterday with Button and I'm miffed about that, but his performance made for a scintillating race, only partially matched by Alonso hounding Vettel during the last 20 laps. Compare the DiResta's collision with Alguesari with Hamilton's move on Massa. While DiResta's move was amateurish at best, climbing all over the kerb after Jaime had made the turn, it's very clear that Massa turned in after Hamilton had begun his move and before the apex. Compare Massa's line through the corner with the two cars ahead of him (Maldonado and Petrov IIRC) at the time of Lewis' move and its pretty clear that what Massa did was a reaction to seeing Lewis in his left mirror starting a move. I, unfortunately, missed Lewis' move on Maldonado, so I'll reserve judgement on that. While I'm not contesting the stewards' decision to award Lewis a drive through penalty for the Massa move, to see you clowns lambast him for that is disgusting. I'm not going to go through Lewis' past achievements. He certainly is a far more proven feisty racer that the current world champion and points leader and on par with Alonso in sheer determination and skill. No one gets to that level without having personality issues and quirks as demonstrated by a majority of past champions, the exceptions being Button and to some extent Villeneuve, both of whom had absolutely dominant cars during their championship winning years. Lewis is 26 years of age, already a world champion, fighting against a dominant competitor and having already suffered a couple of major strategy setbacks this season. You dont expect racers of his ilk to sit back and accept fate on any weekend. The comments some of you have made here only serve to shame yourselves. devil_angel
@MT Firstly, glad to see you here to defend And secondly, you're the first one to do just by comparing Lewis's skills with Fernando's. I'm not old enough to have followed F1 as long as you did/do but I can understand some of the points that you make. That much I confess. Now, for the bad part: I'm not taking anything away from Lewis and the great driver he is, but the thing is, we're trolling here for the lulz. CarbonCore
sry abt that... This is a bad place if your either a Xbot or a Mclaren fan. Nothing against McLaren, we're just talking about one clown who can't seem to digest his pwnage. I'd still love to see Button regain his championship title back more than anything else, but with a teammate like this, I don't think thats gonna happen this year. I'm just glad the scarlet team isn't doing well either
