Those 5 or so laps of the Ham charge on Alonso’s shield-like drive take this race, in an already remarkable season, right to the top. Great drive by Ocon too, defending that lead almost throughout the race. One framed poster of that single Mercedes at the restart please. Today was also Bottas’ biggest step and contribution towards a possible renewed contract. Thrilling, thrilling race. The one thing that could’ve made this the best ever race? Even though it wasn't intentional but Bottas's crash will ultimately result in Perez taking an extra engine down the line as his current engine will most probably not be able to keep up after this crash, which will provide him with a 10 place grid penalty while Bottas gets slapped with a 5 place penalty. Man, if FIA takes his podium away and HAM goes to 2nd place then I seriously won't be following this season much. This has been the case so many drivers over years and hardly anyone was investigated.
