CarbonCore Posted July 6, 2014 Report Share Posted July 6, 2014 Parking the Bus: is a term used in football when a team go into the game with ultra defensive (or anti-football) mindset and almost whole lineup is assigned with defensive duties, the team who park the bus don't commit players forward apart from the corner kicks and set pieces.They allow the opposing team to have more of the ball, but fill out the defensive gaps which restrict opposing team to long range shots, cross and lobs. That's why the ones he saved were the ones that weren't directed into the corners. I've always wondered why more goalkeepers don't do this. Puts more pressure on players to find the corner.
