De Rossi just ahead of the defence, Pirlo and Verratti in central midfield, and Candreva and Marchisio supporting the striker (Immobile, I hope). If it's a 4-4-2, either De Rossi or Verratti get dropped I think, and Insigne or Balotelli join Immobile up front. That midfield of De Rossi, Verrati and Pirlo would be very tough for England to work around. The only drawback being that it would be very narrow, so if they put Sterling and Sturridge on the flanks in a 4-3-3 it could exploit them, especially on counter. Hodgson would be fool to play Sterling behind the striker as Rodgers was doing as the opposition demands a different setup here. In any case even with all the liverpool lads being there, I cant see them making much of an impact simply because of the overwhelming negative that is Roy Hodgson. He'd probably have them in two banks of four and stifle the play all night, while instructing to ping long balls at Sterling or Sturridge which would have them very isolated imo. Gaurav and John have been kicked out and Nikhil Chinappa is the new host who is serious and much more professional. Also, Sunil Chhetri is in the expert panel as well. As far as the match is concerned, it's been good so far. A really weird goal scored by Columbia but Greece have had their moments as well. Expecting a 1-1 draw. I subscribed and watched the Brazil-Croatia replay only to find ads crudely thrown in during the match. Rs 120 bucks with ads is atrocious. I don't think Gaurav is kicked out. Seems more a case of alternating hosts due to the late nights. Also, Nikhil Chinappa is clearly not very used to hosting a live telecast. Lots of awkward silences and fumbling. FFS its the biggest sporting even of the year and these are the clowns they pick. Also, it's utterly pointless having an active player like Crouch on a panel. He's never going to criticise anyone because he has to play with them. Props to Chetri (way better than Bhutia was as an expert) but we really need people with some sort of broadcasting experience. On the contrary SS4 was bringing some big names on the studio for EPL like Lambert, Roberto Martinez, Tony Adams etc I don't know why these people couldn't find a decent pair of ex players. As the saying goes, beggars can't be choosers. Last minute replacements are hard and I think this is a rushed move by Sony Six after all the criticism on Twitter and other Social Media. Nikhil is doing well as he has come on such short notice. Crouch is no longer in the panel and so that is good to see as well. Although I don't really mind him. Btw, 2nd goal for Columbia and the game is done and dusted as we all know about Greece's form in front of goal. I don't fancy them scoring 2 goals. Surprised that they conceded such goals though.
