vinitwins Posted January 5, 2009 Report Share Posted January 5, 2009 @pushy, viv, GamerZ-Cloud Strife my secondary RROD codes are: 4142 = 0102 - i think this means bad solder joints. more info - my cpu heatsink gets hotter than my gpu heatsink my 360 works properly for a few mins (after cooling it down) but then starts exhibiting graphical errors and finally RRODs - if i touch the GPU & CPU heatsinks, the cpu is MUCH hotter. i've ordered a couple of xclamp kits off ebay - any help/advice would be appreciated. Xeno Posted January 5, 2009 Report Share Posted January 5, 2009 maybe the ur GPU isnt connected to the heatsink properly and thus isnt able to cooldown but on the other hand the GPU heatsink is cool as it is not conducting heat properly from the GPU. vinitwins Posted January 6, 2009 Report Share Posted January 6, 2009 tried the carton (kartone?) trick (similar to towel trick but with an open case) - learned one thing - the 360 fans are pretty silent till you try and cook the system - then they sound like a fracking jet engine (gradually builds up noise over 5mins with ventilation blocked) then the strangest thing happened - my 360 started working EVEN WITH THE 3 RRODs - i dont think i've ever seen this online. V ps: the fix was short-lived, it started freezing again while playing gow2 (within 10mins or so) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
