WhiteWolf
Developer - PlayGround Games Publisher - Microsoft Game Studios Genre - Racing Release Date - September 30th - 2014 Platform - Xbox One and Xbox 360 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AX7r61fyltc It’s time to crank up the stereo and hit the open road once again, as Microsoft has announced Forza Horizon 2, the next installment in their flagship racing series. Forza Horizon 2 is in development for Xbox One and Xbox 360 and due for release this fall. The racer follows 2012’s critically acclaimed franchise spinoff Forza Horizon for Xbox 360 and 2013’s frontline Xbox One launch game Forza Motorsport 5. Development is being handled primarily by Horizon 1 studio Playground Games, though the team is collaborating closely with the Motorsport team at Turn 10 Studios; the two teams share a technology pipeline as well as select key personnel. In making the leap to Xbox One, Forza Horizon 2 will include hundreds of cars, according to Playground Games, headlined by the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán. A long-awaited weather system will also make its Forza debut, while Forza 5’s Drivatar system is also being adapted for Horizon "X1 version of Horizon 2 is built on the Forza 5 engine, led by Playground. X360 version is built on Horizon 1 engine, led by Sumo Digital The developers behind Forza Horizon 2 shared more details about the game at E3 yesterday, adding up to a seriously impressive racing game. Some highlights for the Xbox One version developed by Playground Games include: • A dynamic weather system with puddle generation and evaporation. Water beads on cars and affects handling on the tracks. Wipers cut through the computer modeled moisture. • An open world three times larger than Forza Horizon, set in southern Europe. • Engine based on Xbox One’s Forza 5. • Drivatars are back. They learn your driving style to a “creepy” degree and keep driving for you and earning money when you’re not playing. • 200 cars, 700 racing events, over 100 hours of content. • Online clubs of up to 1,000 racers with custom livery are possible. Not much detail was given about the Xbox 360 version, which is being handled by a separate developer, Sumo Digital. Forza Horizon 2 looks like a game that might give Sony’s flagship Driveclub a serious race for its money when it launches Sept. 30 for Xbox One and Xbox 360. WhiteWolf
Forza Horizon 1 - IVG Review http://www.indianvideogamer.com/reviews/review-forza-horizon/16656 Conclusion - Grid’s tight, intense gameplay; Test Drive Unlimited 2’s vast expanses and variety; Gran Turismo 5’s ambition; and Forza Motorsport’s depth and attention to detail – Forza Horizon manages to cram all of that into one game, and the end result is quite simply the complete racing game. HundredProofSam
Yeah, this was the only reason I could've bought an Xbone, now I can happily wait till Halo 5. Both versions will use different engines, so I'm guessing there will be quite a few features missing on Xbox 360. Like weather system and Driveatar Also, not interested in Sunset Overdrive? Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2 make Xbox One a day one purchase for me. But I have a dirty feeling Insomniac will delay

Tyler
Loved Horizon a lot. In fact it's quite possibly my favorite racing game (besides PGR4) from last gen.

But I have a dirty feeling Insomniac will delay Sunset is not really worth spending 35k for. Forza has its own charm and I wanted to get Xbone just for FM5 but they botched it up so bad. It was going to be my exclusive Forza machine Also no Drivatard means 360 version is definitive version

WhiteWolf
^Off-road racing Sunset is not really worth spending 35k for. Forza has its own charm and I wanted to get Xbone just for FM5 but they botched it up so bad. It was going to be my exclusive Forza machine So, you will play Horizon 2 on 360? They will delay 360 version for a month just like TF 360 version Also no Drivatard means 360 version is definitive version Drivatar is in both version.
