MarketTantrik Posted October 2, 2014 Report Share Posted October 2, 2014 Played a bit of this game this morning. The visuals are drop dead gorgeous in all the sequences when you're not racing. When the racing starts, the graphics are definitely underwhelming. However, the racing itself is a blast. The controls are responsive, the independent force feedback zones in the X1's controller work beautifully, the cars are fun to drive and the race courses are lovely. From that perspective, and traveling at speed, it is quite difficult to appreciate the detail in the environment. In addition, the dust trails when going off the asphalt, the sparks when colliding against barriers and obstacles and the visual representation of the car's damage are not much different from what we've seen on the last gen. The droplets of water on the hood, the windshield reflecting the red steering wheel of the Ferrari when driving into the sun, amazing scenery, night and rain driving, the sense of speed when driving a McLaren in one of the bucket list events, fun racing and extremely responsive controls.... I was riveted to the screen all of last evening with FH2. I'm trying to divide my time between this and mordor and mordor ends up losing out.
