Tyler
Nice. I've been replaying Forza Horizon these days. Got it in a recent sale on XBL. It's really amazing what Playground managed to pull of on 360 hardware. That IQ, solid frame-rate and dat soundtrack. One of the best looking racing games ever. These people are wizards. Like I said, it's my favorite racing/driving game of all time. There's just something really relaxing about the game.
HundredProofSam
Playground has pretty much become the A team now. Turn 10 must be feeling pretty miserable.
Big Boss
Yup, Horizon was my favorite racing game of last gen too. I still play it from time to time. Hopefully Driveclub provides same fun.
WhiteWolf
Forza Horizon 2 X360 - Same location/themes, No Weather/Drivatars, More details later Also, no dedicated servers for 360 version.... Playground has pretty much become the A team now. Turn 10 must be feeling pretty miserable. Both games are different imo...T10 focuses more on sim aspect of the game and PG on fun nothing but fun ...FM games are more linear track based games like GT whereas FH is a non-linear open world action game like Test Drive Unlimited nd all..Both games are made for different audience imo. Plus T10 Forza games are 60 fps and FH only 30fps but with weather and night racing T10 still makes awesome racing games...Forza 5 was criticized for it's in-game economy not gameplay nd all...Gameplay wise it was solid just like old Forza games Here ISR review of FM5 9/10 We should not count them out yet...They havn't made a bad game yet.. FM5 was disappointing but not bad..We should give them one more chance.. ...Pretty sure they will learn from their mistakes and make FM6 most awesome racing game ever
HundredProofSam
Forza Motorsport has been pretty static since Forza 2, which was the first Forza on 360. Since then, it's been iterative at best. The kind of upgrades and changes you see FIFA. Turn 10 got too comfortable once PGR went away since there was no other exclusive driving game. Forza 5 was a chance to do something fresh on a new platform, and they didn't.
WhiteWolf
What you want them to add in FM6?? Weather and night racing? Dan Greenwalt in an interview to Ryan from IGN, clearly said you will not see weather in FM games coz they want their game to run at 60fps and Xbox One can't handle weather @ 60fps... According to them game feels and plays better at 60fps.... We prioritize 60fps as an important feature because it gives the games a feel you just can’t achieve at 30; for instance, the responsiveness and feedback of the controls, or physics calculations and visual manifestation of that on how we model our tire flex and body roll. While those calculations are decoupled from the graphics and run as high as 360 frames per second, we found that graphical framerate impacts the feel of those systems as well. Simply put, we couldn’t have achieved the experience we wanted if the game only ran at 30fps. I’m sure you would get a similar response from Infinity Ward regarding Call of Duty. HundredProofSam
I want it not to feel the same as Forza 2. Refresh it. Take a different approach to it. Increasing physics and handling is well and good, and it would be enough in a PC sim, but on consoles you need to bring something different because the audience is different. CarbonCore
Lower the graphics details a bit, the game has practically no AA as it is and most of the cars are outsourced and imported from 360 version and upscaled. I don't understand why they can't add weather/night cycle when rival racer can do it with 1080p and near 60fps with 16 premium cars on track on a fking PS3. Maybe T10 should stop outsourcing everything and build something in-house like FH2 guys do, they're making Greenwalt and his team look bad. CarbonCore
lol I have no issues with FM stagnating to where it was 8 years ago as long as there's Horizon, the guys are doing amazing job at making me ignore FM completely. And this is coming from someone who considered spending $500 just for FM5.
