Forza Horizon 2

Yes I'm sure Greenwalt must be heartbroken with you ignoring the FM series.

And doesn't FH2 use the same engine as FM5 (which was a brand new engine). Also it is using Driveatars as an integral part of its open world AI now which again was introduced in FM5. So what's this bull about about everything being in-house for FH2 and FM5 not introducing anything new.

First of all, tone down the attitude. Don't make me regret visiting and posting here. Secondly, drivatar is not a positive thing, people fking hate that sh*t. I wish PlayGround had stayed away from that turd of a system. And I was talking about Forza Horizon since FH2 is not out yet. They built everything for scratch for that game except few cars borrowed from T10.

Lower the graphics details a bit, the game has practically no AA

Forza 5 uses 2x MSAA i think..

as it is and most of the cars are outsourced and imported from 360 version and upscaled.

FM5 car models were created from scratch using brand new engine...

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/10/28/starting-from-scratch-building-forza-5s-new-car-roster

But the dawn of a new era of console hardware has demanded a fresh start for the Forza series; simply porting Forza 4’s cars to Forza 5 wasn’t an option. The cars needed to be rebuilt, which meant the car list had to be reassessed.

Maybe T10 should stop outsourcing everything and build something in-house like FH2 guys do, they're making Greenwalt and his team look bad.

 All 200 car models are imported from FM5..

FH1 car models were direct copy paste of FM4 models :P

abbey yaar baar baar scratch se kaun banata hai car models..It's quite expensive dude :|

Didn't know that, looking at both no one would've guessed they used same engines.

That's coz FH2 runs at 30fps.. :P

Frame-rate kam kiya aur graphics bhada diya :P

Its pretty terrible for 2x MSAA, should've gone with more aggressive SMAA or similar technic.

Also didn't Sam say almost all cars are imported from FM4 and made in India to begin with?

FM5 cars were upgraded from FM4, not built from scratch. Just the new cars were.

"Our goal's not to carry old content over - and even with all the cars, we did the same process. There were some inaccuracies, and some cars were old-spec that we'd updated from Forza 2 to 3 to 4. But they didn't have the poly count where we wanted it - and they weren't as easy to up-res, so we just recaptured them. Some of them, the spec was good and we could add polygons where we needed them. So it came down to this rating system - and any track or car that wasn't an A grade got either chucked or recaptured."

@waveking: I'm just going to ignore your every post in this thread. I'm really looking forward to this game and your nonsense is just getting in the way of that. So please go wave your Xbox flag in the Halo thread or something.

What you want them to add in FM6?? Weather and night racing?

Dan Greenwalt in an interview to Ryan from IGN, clearly said you will not see weather in FM games coz they want their game to run at 60fps and Xbox One can't handle weather @ 60fps...

According to them game feels and plays better at 60fps....

Lol

PS3 can and xbone cant

shame

Forza Horizon 2 won't have microtransactions at launch

Playground Games' Ralph Fulton said the game won't feature tokens — which can be bought in Forza Motorsport 5 for real money — at launch because developers have designed the game "to be fair, to be fun, to be rewarding."

"That's incredibly important to us," he added. "For that reason, we will launch in September without tokens."

Forza Horizon 2's unlock system, Fulton said, is designed to get drivers trying out new cars very quickly, and premium vehicles are prizes in a wheel-of-fortune type minigame featured in the multiplayer of the original Forza Horizon. Each time a driver levels up he earns a spin on the wheel.

Sam clearly said no trolling in this thread...

Wave

tu bhi band kar dey ab...nahi toh ban hojayega .lol..

I aint trolling I am speaking the truth

Xbone is clearly superior by huge margin but still developers cant optimise the potential of the console

Considering how much people liked the first game, i should have played the game when i had a 360 :scratchchin:

I ignored it thinking that it was more like a sim.

Not a sim, but not super arcady like NFS or drift happy like PGR. You still have to brake for a corner :P

Imagine in FM4 if you turn on every single assist including max traction control, what you get is similar to Horizon since both use same physics engine. Except FM is still brutal if you go off road, in Horizon you can happily drive around in a grassfield in a Lambo at 150mph.

Sounds good enough for me. Sims are too difficult and requires too much attention according to me. I just want to drive fast and then just drift at the corner :P
