Rainbow Six Siege

A.)Evolve wasn't a team v team

Why bring it here is beyond me

It was asymmetric multi-player.

Is a team oriented game.

B.)It's a lot like RanbowSix from the past

Introducing that stuff after so many years makes it fresh again...back then we didn't even play on broadband

Rainbow Six was big into the single-player, its first incarnation was almost purely about CQC in modern day settings on a linear campaign mode.

Seige is the first time they are pushing solely on the multi-player only side of things.

Movement is slow

Game is very realistic in it's tone

You have to plan your every move...along with team mates

Very deep class & equipment structure

Only one guy can choose a class in team

Friendly fire is default....biggest problem when playing against randoms

Graphics are like a last gen game running in 60fps & 1080p....environment destruction is next gen though.

I think I might buy this if more ppl are buying

Might skip Battefront for this......but 3500/- is too much for it's scale

Tried it on pc

Requires friends warna kaam nahi banega iska :P

So this is ubis Destiny?

^ More like Counter Strike GO with a lower bar for reaction time.

Its not just reaction time, although yeah that is true. Everything across the board is a rung lower. And I dont mean that in a derogatory way.

The learning curve in CSGO for gunplay is much MUCH higher than something like this. This has found a nice little middle ground between CoD etc (where you just have to sort of aim right) and CSGO (where movement/recoil/weapon spread are all factors to a waaaaaaay higher degree). So shooting takes more skill than just pointing right but at the same time not so much skill that new guys are screwed till they put in a decent amount of practice hours.

Truth be told, this is where Dice should have landed with guns in BF4.

Anyway, this has all the ingredients of a decent shooter. But between this being MP only, no dedicated servers, Uplay, poor matchmaking and pretty much no word of mouth its just gonna be dead on arrival. Definitely on the PC. Shame cause I think its actually not bad.

I might still just buy it for terrorist hunt (love Co op shooters) with the core mechanics being good and the price being okay-ish (1700).

I did not mean it in a negative way either.

It is just one of the many mechanics that have been brought in line so that the game is more accessible.

Obviously a good guy with a steady aim will constantly plink headshots on the opposition and thus have a faster TTK but unlike Counter Strike where if you for some reason are not crouching you will miss the side of a barn two-feet away is not on the cards.

Overall, same view as you, game will die a slow death unless Ubisoft manages to get its online component in order.

played around 2 hours or so and i am enjoying it. played mosly terrorist hunt. now i am thinking of buying the game but uplay is crap and retail wont come with steam activation. damn ubisot :ranting:

Pick up on a sale if you are really interested in Co-Op.

As of now, INSURGENCY, Killing Floor 2 and upcoming Warhammer: Vermintide should keep you busy on PC.
