Delayed to 2015.

In an announcement on the games website, Moon Studios informs that the title will not arrive until 2015. While were extremely excited for all of you to get your hands on Ori and the Blind Forest as soon as possible, we made the decision together with our partners at Microsoft Studios that well need just a little more time in order to add a final layer of polish to what we hope will be an unforgettable gaming experience, the developer writes.

Ori and the Blind Forest preview: Have you ever seen a platformer look this good?

Excerpt 1

"Indeed, Ori and the Blind Forest is the most stunning looking 2D platform game we've clapped eyes on. Its cinematic soundtrack is beautiful too, having been recorded by the National Symphony Orchestra in Nashville, and it perfectly complements the gameplay - at least in the preview sections we've worked our way through so far."

Excerpt 2

"it was highly rewarding and showed exactly how hardcore Ori can be. It might look cute, but this is an old school 2D platform title at heart."

Excerpt 3

"The three parts we've played at preview level certainly gave us the impression that Moon Studios' Ori and the Blind Forest will be a vast and addictive journey and one we cannot wait to undertake in the near future."

Man this game. How is no one excited about it? I don't have an Xbox or a PC and I'm terribly jelli :samui:

I am just waiting for it to be somehow converted into a Windows 10 'exclusive'.

Don't say that, MS might be listening. :P

I am resigned to that happening and if it does and the PC figures are gutted, guess who is to blame.

MS might do that with Halo or a bigger flagship title which will make people move to Win10. Ori seems too small for them to consider. But then again it is Microshaft who loves their gaming audience a bit too much.

It's not going to be Windows 10 exclusive and all. Game is already listed on Steam (This game will unlock in approximately 1 week, 2 days and 10 hours).

Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 @ 2.2GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ @ 2.8 GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce 240 GT or Radeon HD 6570 – 1024 MB (1 gig)
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Hard Drive: 8 GB available space

Plus, Windows 10 is expected to be released in late 2015.
